★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Unfortunately, I had to put my cat down on a Sunday morning because he was having cluster seizures. I googled the closest animal hospital and came across this one. The nurse was OUTSTANDING! She was very empathetic and understood my situation. She was also very quick to take care of my baby. The doctor was so nice as well! She explained each process thoroughly and answered all of my questions. They made me feel like they cared. I would recommend this hospital 100%!
July 20 · Michael DetwilerI’d like to complement Dr Scott and her staff last night for taking excellent care of my golden retriever who got ahold of a corn cob. I was so hesitant to bring him in since on our last visit we waited for what seemed like an eternity, although it was through no fault of their own. There just happened to be a ton of emergent situations and surgeries that night. I am so glad I took him though as we avoided what would have been a very expensive surgery. Everyone was so kind and professional, from the receptionist before I brought him in, to his nurse, and then Dr Scott. The plan was presented and treatment done promptly, in and out in an hour. Brady and I thank you so much.
May 22 · Gretchen BellMy dog Dozer started showing a decline in his ability to walk, at times even unable to use his back legs at all. This all started rapidly declining the week we moved to Huntsville, and I was so scared I was going to lose my boy. My pup has been through some other medical treatments where we used to live and I was put in positions where I had to fight for him to get even the most basic pain management during some very painful procedures - and I wasn’t willing to watch that happen again. I was on the defense ready to fight for my pup again when I brought him to HVSE, and the team at HVSE quickly showed me that I wouldn’t have to - because they genuinely cared about him, and wanted to see him heal and get better. We briefly saw neuro and they quickly determined the root of his issues to be ortho. They spared my wallet and my dog from going through some extensive testing that they easily could’ve done just to make money. This showed me they truly just wanted my dog to get better, not just make money off of him. Our consult with Dr. Harriman established that my dog needed bilateral TPLO and patella luxation surgeries. Basically a 4 in 1 surgery. He took his time to sit down and thoroughly explain everything, and make sure to answer any questions I had - not once did we feel rushed. Brittany Brinkman helped us get a lot of the details worked out, and answered my many question very patiently. When it came time for his surgery, the entire team from the front desk to ALL the nurses and staff (really just everyone we came in contact with) were extremely kind, not just to my dog but to me as well. They truly listened to my concerns about pain management being a priority and made sure that I knew they wouldn’t allow my boy to just sit there in pain (or more pain than is ‘normal’ after getting new legs lol). And they didn’t. He also is an anxious boy, and that’s only gotten worse since he’s been injured. His night nurse, I believe her name was Abby, spent a very thorough amount of time updating me on how he was doing and reassured me that he was being well taken care of. Sam at the front desk was very friendly and professional. They truly went above and beyond not just in making sure he was safe and medicated appropriately, but also gave him so much love and babied him overnight to help him feel comfortable. When I picked him up, ER Rebecca went over all of his care instructions with me and even though it was right at the end of her shift, she was extremely thorough and went over every single detail and made sure to ask me multiple times if I had any questions. When she told me about the things the different shifts had done for my boy to keep him comfortable and his anxiety down while he was there, it truly brought tears to my eyes. When he came home, while he obviously wasn’t his usual self, I could tell that he had been well cared for and he was less stressed than I expected. Two nights later I ended up bringing him in to get his vitals checked after he had some little episodes or rapid breathing. Caroline (I think that was her name), was so kind on the phone and even came out to the car to do a quick check of his vitals to determine if I needed to bring him all the way inside - which would have been quite difficult since he wasn’t walking yet. Once again, it didn’t feel rushed at all and she even gave my baby some extra snuggles when his drugged up self fell asleep on her while she got his heart rate. I’m probably missing some specific people by name, and I’m so sorry for that - it felt like information overload and I was so nervous during the surgery and everything! But seriously, everyone I interacted with was wonderful and I truly appreciate them all.So if you’ve read this far - you’re probably like me and trying to decide if you can trust these people with your beloved pet. The answer is absolutely yes. They even sent me a pic of my baby during his overnight stay. Thank you to our amazing surgery team at HVSE, and our amazing vet, Towne Park, for helping my boy get back on his feet again. Dozer and I are forever thankful!
July 07 · Sarah Grace WomackI came in late Thursday night as my Sami was not himself. He passed away that night.I called them and let them know what was going on. My pup wouldn’t move and I had to carry him to the vehicle and he was panting excessively. They told me to call when I was 5 minutes out so they could meet me at the car. They came out with a stretcher for him, got us checked in immediately and took him back. Dr. Jones was the doctor working that night and a wonderful vet technician; I can’t remember her name. I knew something was wrong after getting checked in as they took us back to the family room. Dr. Jones came in and provided us the devastating news. She did not push for us to make a decision and gave my son and I time to make a decision be for our pup. They allowed us time to say goodbye to our family member and allowed us toMourn. They assured us to take our time and often came to check on us. The whole staff was amazing.Thank you for taking care of us and allowing us to mourn our Sami. Your whole staff went above and beyond for me and my son. I appreciate the kind words, gentle manner of your staff and their ability to break the news to my son and I. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
April 26 · SerenaThe staff went above and beyond for our sweet pup. Jennifer was done with her shift and drove to another vet hospital to get the supplies needed to transfuse antivenom for our dog. Thank you so much to all of the staff for taking care of our sweet pup. We are very grateful!
