★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have two shelter dogs and they've never been to the vet before so I took them to Lakeshore Animal Clinic today and they are amazing one of the dogs very scared that we were going to leave her there but they were so kind and they were so wonderful I would recommend them to anyone for any pet they were amazing to us today
July 18 · Amy CaulkI have been a customer with several cats for 20 years and have not had any issues with this vet. The occasional not being able to squeeze in would happen but that is to be expected at times. When a client is making a heart wrenching decision and is in tears over it, the tech (I’m assuming but not certain) is expected to explain all sides of a procedure and possible outcomes, of course, but not being insistent or assertive, attempting to strong arm the customer into her recommendations. When she first began to explain, I listened and then explained our situation, she repeated her point again and I acknowledged once again. I knew she was on a mission to change my mind anyway she needed. Sadly, she kept pushing her point 5 more times and at that point I felt the unnecessary condescension and “I know better than you” attitude and I was done. She even spoke to me at if I was not very bright and I was shocked. I would never treat anyone the way this woman treated me and when she attempted to apologize it was “I’m sorry you feel that way” which is not an apology so sadly the place I have called my animal’s clinic home is no longer a place we can use.*****UPDATE*****Response to Vet-I do not remember anywhere in my statement that said she was ugly or mean to me in anyway I did say she was pushy (a controlled pushy) and relentless to get her point across to the point I would hopefully start to agree with her.And perhaps you overlooked where I said, I listened to her and allowed her to tell me her perspective from her experiences TWICE without any interruption and very respectfully. I’m sorry you overlooked that but it wasn’t until she began to go on and on and would not let up so I had to start interjecting to tell her I have been going over all of this. I have researched heavily. I have discussed this with my husband, which is the only family member I have at home and he’s been asking me to take care of this for a while. I expected her to give me her expertise and her experiences as I mentioned in my review so again I’m sorry that you did not recall me mentioning that but it was said. After my appointment I researched, I have noticed similar reviews about someone who handled things in an unprofessional way and it’s sounds similar to my experience. Anyone can be a great vet to animals and their owners until they don’t agree with the client and then their demeanor can change on how they handle things I’ve seen that from the best intentioned people, but they went a direction they should not have so being corrected on that should be expected although it seems you are not concerned about that.I also noticed that when you respond to people instead of understanding what a review is for, you attack them for posting it. I would suggest that you make sure that your employees know how to handle a situation without being so assertive- understanding once or twice to convey a point is enough (even for a regular doctor to their patient) She went overboard with her attempt to explain. Also, mentioning her status which I mentioned I could not remember shows your inability to show understanding…that says more about you than you realize.I’m glad to see that a client of 20 years that has referred countless people your way is not important to you and that you did not try to make amends; instead, you came on here to try to talk down to me and refute my experience which you were not there for. I’m happy to move on to someone who will value me as a customer that makes a conscience choice to trust their clinic with my animals.
April 25 · Rebecca BurrThese people are amazing! We don't trust our fur babies with just anybody. This clinic came highly recommended and did not disappoint. I wish they treated humans too!
June 29 · Paul GrubbsTo say the staff is amazing is an understatement! I have a basset that had a horrible experience at another vet requiring sedation, ending in a seizure and a pretty sick dog for a few days. Lakeshore let us come in for a meet and greet ready with her file that had been read, treats and a pleasant and calming demeanor. To start they suggested medication prior to a nail trimming and if that didn’t work we could discuss further her needing to be sedated. We went for our appointment today, my girl was a little apprehensive but did walk back to the room with them. Less then 5 minutes later out they come, I’m thinking well sedation it will have to be but no, they had the nails trimmed! We will be going back next week just to continue to get her used to them and having her feet messed with! They are amazing and we are very thankful we found them!
September 25 · JANIE STAPPI take my two puppies here for checkup and doctor always takes her time to explain us everything in detail. Wish I could provide 10 starts for their service.
