Longs Peak Animal Hospital provides a comprehensive suite of veterinary services that cater to the diverse needs of Colorado's pet population, including exotic animals. Their capabilities span from basic preventative care to highly specialized procedures.
General and Preventative Health Care: This includes routine vaccinations, general health assessments, preventative medicine, and routine lab work to detect issues early. They also offer consultations and urgent care for unexpected illnesses or injuries.
Advanced Diagnostics: The hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory for rapid lab tests, digital dental X-rays, and video endoscopy, which can help diagnose conditions without more invasive surgery. They also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for more specialized diagnostics.
Surgical Procedures: Their modern surgical suite allows for a wide variety of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. Notably, they are one of the few hospitals in Colorado equipped to offer minimally-invasive laparoscopic surgery for procedures like spays.
Dental Care: They provide a full range of dental services, from routine cleaning and polishing to tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. Their use of digital dental X-rays ensures a thorough assessment of your pet's oral health.
Boarding and Daycare: For pet owners who are traveling or working, the hospital offers comprehensive boarding and daycare services for dogs and cats. This includes doggie daycare, other pet boarding, and even diabetic boarding, ensuring pets with special needs are well-cared for. They also offer pet walking and bathing services like flea baths.

Compassionate and Experienced Staff: As one reviewer noted, the staff is "amazing," offering direct communication and all the facts needed to make difficult decisions. The compassion shown during the end-of-life care for a pet with cancer is a testament to their empathetic approach.
Emphasis on Education and Communication: The hospital takes the time to explain procedures and risks to pet owners, as a client mentioned regarding a surgeon's care. This clear communication builds trust and helps owners feel confident in the care their pets are receiving.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The entire staff at Longs Peak Animal Hospital are amazing. One of my cats has some health issues and the staff have made a potentially bad situation easy to navigate with direct communication, specialist recommendations (as needed), and all of the facts needed to make hard decisions easier.
July 27 · Pauline KurdtWe have been going to Longs Peak since we moved here 5 years ago. They have taken such good care of all of our cats. They have shown us care and compassion over the years with the 3 cats we moved here with all dying from cancer within 2 years. It hasn't been easy and Dr. Kristin has made it a bit easier. She did the surgery on our Stinky Butt to remove the left mammory chain and another small tumor. She took great care to make sure we understood everything and all the related risks. The aftercare was too notch. We trust her implicitly with our cats. We now have 2 more cats since our others are gone and they both see Dr. Kristin. I have seen other reviews about the prices. I would say that overall their prices are comparable to other vets in the area. Sure there are some costs you might find at others cheaper but I think that is also the case with Longs Peak. You will find that some costs are cheaper there. And for the peace of mind we get with the care, we will pay a little more.
August 24 · AngelWe really wanted to like this vet. Some of the staff is friendly. We can't overlook some serious concerns with their pricing dishonesty. Our cat had surgery for a broken leg, and after giving us an estimate where they specifically give a price for the lowest the surgery can cost and the highest the surgery can cost, they still charged us more than $300 higher than their 'high' cost. I recently took my dog in for a wellness exam and was told the dog would need a booster shot for her Lepto vaccine in ~4 weeks. Took the dog in for the booster and at checkout they mentioned a charge for a 'wellness exam', which they did not do on this visit because they had just done it 4 weeks ago. When I questioned it, the receptionist spoke with the vet and insisted on charging for a 'brief exam' -- $43 dollars because a vet had put a stethoscope to my dogs heart for 5 seconds before they gave her the booster. Price gouging and unnecessary. Needless to say, that was our last visit :)
May 20 · Candice HurowitzThe place is wonderful. They take great care of all our furry family members and we're a handful. Great prices & great care! I recommend my Veterinarian hospital to everyone.
August 04 · Lynn RobbinsOver the last few years, we have worked very closely with the Longs Peak vet. They have seen our cats on their best and worst days. This week, we had to say good bye to one of ours. The choice was not easy, but LPAH made things as easy as we could have hoped for. They provided a warm, safe, and comfortable environment for us to say good by to our beloved family member. We were so afraid to do this at a vet, rather than at home. But it was everything we could have asked for. Our little one was happy and safe all the way to the end of his story. This vet is beyond the 5 stars I can give them. We will not be looking for another vet until they shut down, or we move.
