Mobile Vet Introduce
In the vast and bustling landscape of California, finding veterinary care that is both high-quality and convenient can be a challenge. For many pet owners, the stress of getting their animal into a carrier, navigating traffic, and waiting in a busy clinic can be overwhelming. This is where Mobile Vet, a long-standing and respected mobile veterinary service, offers a revolutionary solution. Founded in 1985 by Dr. Chris Cauble, this practice brings comprehensive, compassionate, and professional veterinary care directly to your doorstep. This article will provide an in-depth overview of Mobile Vet, detailing the extensive services they provide, their commitment to patient comfort, and why they are a trusted choice for pet owners in the greater Los Angeles area.
The core philosophy of Mobile Vet is centered on providing a low-stress, personalized experience for pets and their owners. By bringing a fully equipped clinic to your home, they eliminate the anxiety associated with traditional vet visits. This model is particularly beneficial for senior pets, those with mobility issues, or animals that become fearful or aggressive in unfamiliar environments. Dr. Cauble, who is the primary doctor and has been with the practice since its inception, has a well-earned reputation for being gentle and calm with all his patients. This focus on a peaceful experience allows for a more thorough examination and a more thoughtful consultation, as the pet is in a familiar and comforting setting.
Beyond the convenience, Mobile Vet’s service is defined by its professionalism and comprehensive capabilities. Unlike some "come and go" mobile services, Mobile Vet operates with a dedicated team, including veterinary technicians, and is fully stocked with all the necessary supplies, medical, and surgical equipment. Their commitment to quality is evident in their long history and the consistent positive feedback from clients. They are not just providing a service; they are improving the quality of life for pets and their owners by strengthening the human-animal bond.
While the Mobile Vet service is a housecall practice, their office and base of operations are located at 820 Thompson Ave #2, Glendale, CA 91201, USA. This centralized location allows them to efficiently serve the entire greater Los Angeles area, including Glendale and its surrounding neighborhoods. The clinic’s physical location is designed to be accessible, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot. While clients do not visit the physical location for services, this commitment to accessibility reflects the business's overall dedication to inclusivity.
The mobile nature of the service means that accessibility is defined by your home. The team can perform examinations and treatments in any location you and your pet feel most comfortable, whether that's in the yard, a living room, or even a bedroom. This level of flexibility ensures that care is tailored to the specific needs of each animal. Appointments are recommended to ensure a smooth and timely visit, as the team works to group appointments that are geographically close to maximize travel time and be as efficient as possible.
Mobile Vet provides a full range of veterinary services, demonstrating their capability to handle a variety of health needs right in the comfort of your home. The clinic's offerings are extensive, covering everything from routine preventative care to complex medical issues.

What is it about Mobile Vet that makes it worth choosing? The answer is beautifully captured in the reviews from real customers. The first review from an owner of a 17-year-old "scaredy cat" highlights the immense value of an in-home visit. The peace of mind of having everything done right in front of them, the speed of service, and the "transparency and thoughtfulness" of Dr. Cauble and his team were "worth every penny." This personal story demonstrates that for animals who are easily stressed, the service is not just a luxury but a crucial component of their overall health. The fact that the pet is the only one the team is focused on during the visit creates a truly personalized and calm experience that a busy, multi-pet clinic simply cannot replicate.
The second review, from a prospective client with a senior, 120-pound dog, speaks to the practicality and professional integrity of the service. The owner recognizes that for a large, aging dog, a mobile vet is the best option. The fact that they found the rates "completely reasonable" and appreciated the team's polite and quick response demonstrates that Mobile Vet is not seen as an overpriced, opportunistic service but as a genuine, professional, and fair provider. This combination of compassionate care, unparalleled convenience, and professional honesty makes Mobile Vet an outstanding choice for any pet owner in the greater Los Angeles area who wants the best for their furry, feathered, or scaled family member.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Cauble and his tech were so kind and gentle with my 17 year old scaredy cat and I can't overstate that enough. They arrived within an hour of making the appointment. Is it expensive? A little - but honestly, vet prices everywhere have gone up. The total price of the at home visit was only a couple hundred more than our usual vet (if that). The peace of mind of having everything done right in front of us, the speed of being seen, the transparency and thoughtfulness was worth every penny in my opinion. Your pet is the only one they are focused on and they show and explain to you everything they are doing and why. 10/10 experience if you have an animal that you're worried about and you're afraid that taking them to the vet might be more stressful to them- please contact Dr. Cauble and his team.
September 09 · K.C HCalled to get rates. My senior Rottie (who weighs in at about 120lbs right now) is going to need home vet visits as she approaches the end of her wonderful years as my baby girl. This mobile vet’s rates for their professional service are completely reasonable. Travel time is excluded (which is expected, electricians & plumbers expect to be paid for travel time so yes I’d expect a DVM to bill the same). Very polite, quick call back. A mobile vet with some kind of bargain basement pricing is not what I’m looking for. I’ll look for discounts for hair/nails etc not the life of my best fur girl.
July 19 · Monica BeauchampDr.Cauble is great. I was having a lot of trouble finding someone to come see my guinea pig on short notice, but he was here within 2 hours of calling. He worked fast and gave me all the information I needed to make sure my pets are healthy.
August 11 · Carmen CorveraJust called this vet at the recommendation of another. I wanted a quote for their visit fee. Just in case anyone else is looking, it's $90 just for the drive (from glendale to studio city), and then $95 for every 15 minutes of the visit (that's not a typo), and all services beyond just looking at the pet are extra. Maybe I'm missing something, but this is absolutely insane pricing to me. Not only that but the receptionist was flippant when I asked her to clarify that the $95 was per 15 minutes. I'm trying to find a vet because my dog is very fearful and I'm having a hard time sending her into the vet alone, but this is highway robbery.*To address the response below: The examination is the doctor's expert time. This is semantic pedantry. $90 for a 10-15 minute drive is absurd, as is $95 for each 15 minutes of time. There was no doubt about those being the charges, as that's what I was told on the phone. This is just a warning for any other pet parents who might be looking for a mobile vet. There are more reasonably priced experts available in the area.
October 26 · A WThe mobile vet is excellent! I have a semi-feral cat that the normal vet refuses to see. The Doc Cauble and staff make house calls and take care of my little guy and I don't have anxiety that my cat is going to die. This service is excellent, and I recommend them to everyone I know with a pet. All things considered it was cheaper to get a housecall and have all three cats looked at than take time off to take each cat one by one to the vet. I can't say enough good things about this business.
