Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital Reviews
I hope your pet never needs emergency care, but if they do, don't hesitate to trust this place with your fur baby. We had to have our two dogs hospitalized for the weekend after a questionable ingestion. We were greeted with kindness and treated with care from the entire staff. The vets and techs were both knowlegeable and compassionate. They went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel informed about our pets' conditions and the care that was being provided. A place like this is proof that there are still wonderful people in the world. I would give them 10 starts if I could.
Apr 16, 2025 · Paula PuglieseOn March 16, 2025 we found ourselves faced with making that difficult and dreaded decision of having to put our beloved 14-15 year old TARA to sleep. With heavy hearts and minds full of sorrow, pain and guilt we were all of sudden in that path of making such terrible decision for our beloved Tara. But we could not have found a better placed to guide us through our pain and set of mixed emotions than Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital in (Plains, PA). As we arrived there, were greeted in a manner that demonstrated professionalism and respect by the girls at the front desk, who were very tentative and helpful in aiding us through whole process, always demonstrating utmost respect and understanding of our pain. The Vet. Dr that performed the procedure she was also very kind, helpful and very understanding of the emotions we were going through in that dreadful and difficult moment. We were provided with all the essential information of the cremation and delivery of the ASHES of our beloved Tara. They also took the time to follow up with a sympathy card shortly after. As a final note: Even though we were faced with the terrible choice of putting our beloved Tara to sleep, if I would ever be faced with making such horrible and difficult choice again "about putting another beloved pet in our family to sleep" in the not so distant future (due to suffering, or not so good quality of life moments in the end moments of their life)... I would definitely would choose Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital again, and I would highly recommend them to anyone faced with making that SAD and final decision, that we don't like to make (but deep in our hearts we know), that that is the right thing to do, when out beloved pets are faced with not so good moments at the end of their lives. RIP my beloved and beautiful TARA, you will forever be in my mind end hart. We miss you greatly! And Thank you Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital for making this moment a better outcome than expected.
Mar 25, 2025 · Tony JimenezOn Feb 8, 2025 my best friend took a drastic turn for the worse. Took him for a walk at Kirby Park and had to carry him out because he couldn't walk. Once home he started struggling with breathing. At 14 yrs old and not wanting to see him suffered I called NE Vet Ref Hosp. They advised to drive safely but to go now. When I got him out of my truck he was losing body fluids. The staff hit the alarm and vet tech from the back came rushing out for him. Hardest part was letting go but I knew they were going to try and help him. I didn't even get all my info out when they came running back for me and said come quickly. All that could be done was help him peacefully cross over to the rainbow bridge. Within 5 minutes of arrival my sweet boy was gone. The care and compassion they demonstrated towards Jack and myself helped me deal with the hardest part of my life. I had reservations taking Jack to a strange place but he had no fear. He truly was granted a peacefully trip to the rainbow bridge. I could not have wanted any better treatment for him. Truly a very compassionate staff. Rest easy my boy and to the staff, thank you!
Feb 16, 2025 · diane brewsterTold they were at max capacity and couldn’t see my dog for 6-8 hours… (we live 20 mins from facility) these were her injuries and deep lacerations that weren’t deemed “emergency enough”. I wasn’t going to let my dog sit in agony for hours; bleeding, shaking and whimpering..We ended up driving her to Danville (an hour and a half away) and received immediate attention even though they also had a packed waiting room. (Probably because she was bleeding all over the floor). She ended up with 7 stitches. Thankful for the Danville Emergency clinic and their amazing set of Doctors. We were in and out in 30 mins.
Mar 19, 2025 · Alexandra SWe just had an emergency with our girl, Rosie. She had a severe infection, the doctors treated her with the utmost care and compassion. The whole team could not have been more helpful and kind. Thank you for your help.
