- Wellness Exams and Preventive Care: These foundational services include thorough annual or biannual physical examinations, tailored vaccination protocols based on your pet's age, lifestyle, and risk factors, and comprehensive parasite prevention and control (including heartworm, fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites). They focus on proactive measures to detect and prevent health issues early.

This includes professional dental cleanings (prophylaxis) under anesthesia, which may involve digital dental X-rays to assess issues below the gum line, and surgical extractions when necessary to address dental disease.
- Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose and monitor a wide range of health conditions, they utilize essential diagnostic tools. This includes in-house laboratory services for blood work (e.g., complete blood counts, chemistry panels), urinalysis, and fecal exams, providing quick results for timely treatment. They also utilize imaging techniques such as X-rays for internal assessments.
- Surgical Procedures: They perform a range of general surgical procedures for pets. While specific types are not detailed in the provided information, typical general veterinary surgeries include routine spaying and neutering. This warm and welcoming atmosphere is crucial for making both pets and their owners feel comfortable.
- Experienced Veterinarians: The clinic is founded by Dr. Lisa H. Ellsberry and Dr. Bevin Marzullo, two highly experienced small animal veterinarians with a combined 31 years of practice in the greater Seattle area. This depth of experience provides a strong foundation of medical expertise.
- Locally Owned and Independent: As a locally owned, independent small animal hospital, they often provide a more personalized touch and are deeply integrated into the local community, making decisions based on client and patient needs rather than corporate mandates.
- Clean and Welcoming Environment: The clinic is noted for its "cleanliness," which contributes significantly to a positive and professional impression for clients and a healthy environment for pets.
- Focus on Building Long-Term Relationships: The mission of the founding veterinarians includes establishing "long term relationships with clients, their friends, and families." This commitment to continuity of care and fostering trust is highly valued by pet owners.

Aug 17, 2024 · Jestine BiancaGreat team. Everybody is super helpful and nice. My dog is always so hyper and full of energy when we go to his appointments but they always find ways to make him and me feel comfortable. I would recommend them if you are looking for a new vet.
May 31, 2024 · Lizeth AcevedoWhat an amazing team. I’ve been bringing my girls (2 female pugs) here for about 2 years now, and I cannot imaging a more compassionate and knowledgeable team to work with in keeping my girls as healthy as possible.Just a brief story: I grew up with a pretty intense (and slightly irrational) fear of the spaying procedure, because my family lost 2 puppies when I was very young. Dr. Marzullo was masterful in explaining everything about the procedure — risks, precautions they take, and what the animals will experience before/during & after the procedure. No spay is zero-risk of course, but she helped me through the anxiety of it with as much support and assurance as possible. Both of my girls are now spayed, and I really couldn’t imaging a more amazing team to trust with their health.I cannot recommend this team higher; which I say that as someone that has struggled a lot in the past with finding reliable & trustworthy veterinarian services.
May 07, 2024 · Logan SchoonmakerI’ve been taking my chihuahua poodle mix puppy, Sally Ride, here since she was 9 weeks old. They have taken great care of her, both for preventive items, as well as an illness she had. It’s been easy to get appointments when she needs them. The best thing is how much the doctors and staff clearly love Sally! They always treat her with the utmost kindness and compassion. Sally loves going there for visits!
Jun 22, 2023 · Benjy FilesThank you to the entire staff at Pacific City. This is the best vet I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to, and I do not say that lightly. There has always been something to complain about with other vets, be it prices, pushiness, or practices. None of that here. Pacific City doesn’t just make you feel like they care - they really do. Pacific City saw my senior Addisonian husky for the last bit of her life. After she passed, which didn’t even happen at Pacific City but at home, the team at Pacific City sent me a card, personally signed by more names than I could count, sending me condolences and love. It was the silver lining that I needed in such a painful time and something that will be forever appreciated. The card lays next to her ashes. Now, I continue to bring my other dogs to Pacific City, and you should too, because they will take care of you and your pets.
