★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1When your dog is sick, you want a vet who cares and who answers the phone. Peninsula Ave. vet clinic has never failed us over the years. We have two dogs now, and both of them have gotten their shots and other needs hereDr. Hall was so kind and helpful with our dog Lenny, and the tech who helped our furry boy was especially caring ❤️ thx so much to everyone there
October 11 · Brad HesseI love this clinic. I can really feel they care about my dog. The doctors are so sweet and the support staff are so helpful. They have plenty of availability in their schedule that have allowed me to get care for my older dog. Thank you Pen Ave Vet Clinic!
April 11 · E JI'm so happy to have reconnected with Dr. Kelly!!When dog #1 died in 2015 (16+ years), it took us another 5 years to get a puppy. Due to location and being hampered by the Pandemic, we decided to use SFSPCA. The issue with that is that we never saw the same vet twice, and were not able to build a real relationship. Bemoaning all of this at Fort Funston, someone said "Michelle Kelly? She's at Peninsula Avenue; that's where we go!"We got an appointment right away, and Dr. Kelly remember me from all those years before, and remembered that dog's health history. She was able to scale some tartar and treat an ear issue without any issue. Although I live less than a mile from SPCA, I'll happily jump on 101 and head to San Mateo to see Dr. Kelly in the future.
April 23 · Elizabeth TennentI took my cat into the vet because I noticed some matting on her fur. I wanted professional help as my cat is very timid and doesn’t like to be handled. I thought she would be safe…When I reached the office, they immediately assured me that they could remove the mats safely and took her to the back room where I could not see them. 10 minutes later, they brought her back but when I checked her again they missed multiple mats on her stomach so I requested they try to remove the excess mats. They were in the back room for about 30 minutes this time, and I heard an agonizing yelp and became concerned. When they brought her back, she initially looked okay but upon closer examination, I saw a huge gash on her belly about 2 inches wide and 2 inches deep, cutting almost into her organs. It was a clean and deep cut so it is obvious the cut had just occurred. We notified them of the gash and they immediately swept her away without allowing me to fully understand the situation. I waited in angst until a new man I hadn’t seen previously brought my cat back and stated they gave her stitches but took no responsibility for their actions. They did not give her any pain medication and she had to wear a cone for two weeks. It is now one month later and she is still traumatized and what little trust she has towards people has now completely disappeared. Please be careful when considering this clinic. Your cat could be next.
August 01 · Paul ChenWe were scammed because the vet told us the dog had an injury so we put a bandage on his leg and when the dog was walking the bandage came off and he was perfectly fine (it was one day we came back from doctor so it couldn't have healed that fast) so the doctor scammed us out of $400.
