★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We can definitively say that the folks at Scout’s House saved us a surgery and greatly improved our dog’s quality of life! Our vet saw Rocky for a low back injury and recommended neurology to consider surgery and mentioned maybe physical therapy can help. Well, a couple mos in to PT and he already started improving. Then one of their very astute docs noted he had a PCL injury and advised another look with the vet. Again, the recommendation after knee imaging was to do surgery right away and he was given pain meds. Thankfully, our PTs were patient and continued to see him regularly. They advised on home exercises and kept a close eye. If I ever had questions, they were very responsive with email. Now, a year after PT first started, Rocky is running again and very active! He absolutely loves the team there so we will continue to go every other month if we can but I am so pleased with his care that I had to share this! As a primary care provider for humans, I am all about prevention. Surgery should be the absolute last resort for our pets who have no say in the matter! I’m so grateful that we did not have to crate Rocky for 6 wks while he recovers from a surgery he did not even need! Thank you to Scout’s House from the bottom of our hearts! Sending Rocky’s ecstatic love from across the bridge in San Lorenzo!
August 18 · Meena NairWe have had such a positive experience with Scout’s House! My chihuahua just graduated from physical therapy after having double knee surgery (TPLO surgery) and has progressed so well. Each dog has a session on their own with no other animals present, and it’s incredible how the staff motivate your pet to do the exercises. They send you videos explaining their techniques so you can do the exercises at home. We went once a week for 6 weeks after surgery, then did a few more sessions once every other week, with daily PT sessions at home. The entire team here were so kind and knowledgeable and they kept the surgery team (at Lenity, also fabulous) updated on my dog’s progress. Sessions were $149 after an initial consultation which I believe was $249. I could not recommend them more highly!
August 13 · Kristina BronitskyWe took our 6-year old Portuguese Water Dog, Mila, to Scout's house for several months after a bilateral TPLO surgery. Everyone at Scout's House was wonderful! They were very knowledgeable, provided effective exercise plans, and great instructions for us on how to work with Mila at home. Mila has great range of motion, and she's rapidly building strength in her back legs. On top of all of this, they kept it fun - Mila was always excited to meet the team and go inside. Highly recommend if you are looking for good recovery support!
March 03 · Rudy ShayganfarEvery member of staff I've interacted with at Scout's House has been a delight. They've treated me and my kitten so well. Krista has even sent me a ton of videos of her doing exercises and stretches with my kitten so that I can reference them at home and make sure my kitty is getting the best care she can when doing her physio at home. Love this place! 😻
June 02 · Sean DohringThe staff at Scout's House is incredibly professional and very nice. Our foster dog is so happy with his sessions that he can't wait to get out of the car, and he sits by their door waiting to be allowed in!. The initial evaluation was very detailed with a great explanation of current issues and possibilities for improvement. They also gave us a home exercise program with clear instructions, and they have been great in answering questions as we go along with their program. After 5 sessions, our foster dog that has mobility issues is already getting stronger, has less pain, and we are very happy with the results!.
