Choosing a veterinarian is a critical decision for any pet owner, and it's essential to weigh all factors carefully. While PetPALS promotes itself as a provider of low-cost services, it is important for potential clients to consider the entirety of the provided information, including public reviews, when making a decision. One review describes a series of tragic events following a routine neuter surgery, where a dog developed a severe scrotal hematoma and infection, ultimately requiring major surgery and a blood transfusion. The reviewer also mentions two other dogs from the same day with similar complications, suggesting a potential pattern of issues. Another review cites a deeply concerning incident where a friend's cat was mistakenly given to someone else, and the clinic attempted to give a different cat to the owner. These accounts highlight the importance of not sacrificing the safety and well-being of your animal for the sake of cost alone. While the clinic's mission may be to provide affordable care, the narratives from these experiences point to potential challenges in the quality of care and animal handling that are critical for any Texas pet owner to consider. The negative experiences shared by past clients, particularly regarding surgical outcomes and animal safety protocols, are serious and should be a significant part of any decision-making process. The emotional and financial toll of such events can far outweigh the initial savings of a low-cost service. Therefore, it is worth choosing a clinic with a track record of consistently positive outcomes and reliable, safe practices, even if the cost is higher. A pet’s life and health are priceless, and making an informed choice based on all available data is the most responsible action for any animal lover.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I will never take my dog to Pet Pals again, and I strongly urge other pet owners to think twice before trusting them. I brought my dog in to be fixed, and what should have been a routine surgery turned into a nightmare. The procedure was done so poorly that my dog developed a massive scrotal hematoma, was bruised purple and blue, and quickly became infected. I had to take him to two different vet clinics just to get the infection under control, and he eventually needed major surgery to repair the damage. He lost over a quart of blood and has to be on 3 different types of medication now. He's only 2!To make matters worse, while I was at the veterinarian clinic, two other dogs came in who had undergone the same procedure at Pet Pals the same day as my dog and both also had infections. This isn’t just an isolated mistake; it points to a serious problem in how Pet Pals is performing surgeries and caring for animals. Their negligence put my dog’s life at risk, and I will never forgive that.
August 12 · Georgia RandallHorrible horrible place. please for the safety of you animals never go here. They gave my friends cat to someone else and when she went to pick him up tried to give her a different cat. Unacceptable behavior and you shouldn’t sacrifice the safety of your animal for the “low cost”.
April 30 · tibby`s worldLovely experience. Great care and passion from all volunteer staff. When I called to make appointment, they called back within minutes with a date and explained in detail what to expect.Easy flowing registration and pick up. It does take up to 45 mins to process you in but your pet is already in the back waiting for surgery while you complete registration/payment.And they do offer yearly vaccines along with your spay/nueter. I paid $83 for a 4 mo feline for total care. (Surgery, yearly vaccines including Lukemia and rabies, plus!)They accept cash and check only but they tell you this beforehand so you are prepared.Highly recommend to save lives, control pet population if you are on a budget and do not have a local veterinarian yet.Two of the pictures are of my cat after surgery at home just 5 and 7 hours later!
July 26 · Heather JacksonVery dissatisfied with how they prioritize TNR. Contacted January 5th, was pushed all the way till March 29th. My cats are now pregnant.
March 11 · Jillian TeagueI got two female dogs fix today. I want to thank everyone at Pet Pals so much. For the love that they showed to my dogs. They went out of there way to make sure that my dogs nails was cut. Give good after care instruction.
