★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Doctor was funny, nice, and treated my dog and I with respect and compassion. Best experience I’ve had with a vet in a long time. July 01 · tyler west
- This has been a terrible experience, both in terms of care and communication. This is the highest vet bill I've had, for the worst treatment.I was in a state park with limited cell service and my dog was staying with Bailey's when my dog became lethargic, vomiting and refusing to eat his food. Baileys took him to Pitts. I was told it would clear up in a couple days and they gave him fluids and medication to treat the symptoms. When I picked up my dog from daycare he had blood leaking from his butt and immediately had bloody diarrhea. I went to Pitts, with my dog, to pay my bill and let them know he had bloody diarrhea and see what should be done.I was told my bill was $1000 without any context. I had to ask for an explanation of what was done and the diagnosis. I barely got a breakdown but I was more concerned with the new blood symptom. I was told that it wasn't a concern and to come back in a couple of DAYS if it wasn't better.I took him to Yankee Hill, where for $200, they were able to identify that it was bacterial and we got him on antibacterial medication. Thankfully, because of Yankee Hills care, he is now healthy.I went to Pitts to try to get a refund. No one was available to speak to me, but they did refund the food. Several days later I got a call they would refund the $40 fecal exam and re-train some staff. Disappointing end. July 07 · Kaitlin Chapman
- The staff, techs and providers are all so wonderful! They are so kind and caring with my dogs, as well as providing excellent vet care. They do not make suggestions for medication or procedures unless they are warranted and I truly trust all of them with caring for my dogs. I have been impressed with their communication skills since day one and this was something that was very important to me when looking for a new vet. Thank you Pitts Veterinary Hospital for taking great care of Norman and Tori! August 31 · Eryn M
- We’ve been taking our pups to Pitt’s for years. This past weekend, we had a bit of a scary incident with our 5 yr old dog where we had to take him to a different, emergency vet because they were the only place open. Long story short, he’s fine but I was feeling a tad skeptical. The emergency vet was unclear what exactly his diagnosis was, so they treated him for a couple things to be safe. This had me a bit freaked out because I didn’t feel like I 100% knew what was going on. I also get nervous when we have to take our pets elsewhere because I have so much trust in the doctors and staff at Pitt’s and I’ve had bad experiences at other vet hospitals. Since then, the staff at Pitt’s have put up with multiple phone calls from me, probably sounding like a crazy person with all my questions and information. They have been nothing but kind and helpful and quick to calm my worries. My dog is my baby and I know that everyone at Pitt’s understands that. I thank them so much for that, they are truly the best!! May 19 · Lauren Theysohn
- Our regular vet was out of town, and our 12 year old Golden had a fairly bad bladder infection come up suddenly. We called around searching for an appt, and the team at Pitts not only got her in within two hours, they were absolutely wonderful with her :) Our girl is feeling much better! July 25 · Jess Yarmer
