Remedy Veterinary Specialists Reviews
A couple months ago, my dog suffered from some brain inflammation which left him completely unable to walk and deteriorating in condition every day. I was referred to Remedy by my local emergency vet and I made an appointment with Dr. Jurney as soon as I could, who was able to get me in much quicker than any other dog neurologist in the area. I told her about my financial struggles and was hoping to try medications on my pup first instead of a full blown MRI and spinal tap, and she was extremely sympathetic towards my plight and was willing to work with me. I told Dr. Jurney about living an hour from the location, and she offered me periodic Zoom checkins instead of making the full commute every time Crispy needed to be looked at again. Fast forward a few months and my sweet baby is back to his energetic self, with full use of all of his faculties even after completely stopping treatment. I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am with Remedy and Dr. Jurney…great service, great demeanors from all of the staff, and I will 100% be recommending this vet to all of my friends and family! Thank you Dr. Jurney and everyone involved in giving my Crispy a new chance at life ❤️
Nov 18, 2024 · IrnieDr Jurney care was exceptional with our dog. She ended up needing 3 disc repaired and the recovery was very smooth and instructions with everything was clear. Staff if friendly and helpful.
Feb 11, 2025 · Nuria S. Garcia-RuizExcellent care given to our Little Man , Leroy!Dr.Jurney is extremely passionate about the care she provides for Leroy, and her other furry friends. She takes her time, explains the process, and is determined to get answers, so that we can get a diagnosis. Tests are being done, and it’s a process that takes time. The ladies that work with her treated Leroy as they would treat their own dog. He is a special little guy! I am happy that he is in your care and you love him too! All of her staff are very friendly and make you feel welcomed. My husband and I realize we are doing all we can to keep him with us longer, we love him so much. Thank you all for your great care.
Apr 18, 2024 · Melody BlanchardWe had a great experience here. Dr. Jurney is exceptional, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the office is beautiful. Oct 25, 2023 · Shannon DSThis is the letter I wrote remedy vet –I have decided not to continue being a client at Remedy vet after much consideration. And I will not be recommending it to any of my clients or friends.I feel that explaining my decision thoroughly will hopefully inspire Dr. Journey to make changes internally and externallyHere are my reasons :# 1 the way the Dr. Journey talked to me at the onset of the MRI appointment in JuneShe initially came toward me with a compassionate tone because I was obviously overridden with anxiety and concern for Patrick. All it took for her to have a complete change of temperament was when I mentioned that the location of Remedy " sucked" (is challenging ) for injured animals. she took it obviously an insult to her personally. And immediately went into a shocking angry, and defensive tone saying that I was insulting her reputation I was so offguard that she would take it that way when I was under so much duress and simply stating a fact about location being very challenging to navigate with a dog that could barely walk. I had no other option because I needed the MRI done, and I immediately went into a apologetic fearful mode. The power dynamic was clear. My follow up appointments were a tad better, but still the bedside manner leaves so much to be desired. There is a level of narcissism and superiority that I find impossible to work with.Alternatively The staff is kind and patient.2- I got a third opinion yesterday from an esteemed neurologist in the area that comes highly recommended from three of my clients and two veterinarians. He was the one that I wanted to see at the immediate onset of Patrick's symptoms in May, but he was booked so far out. The change in bedside manner was palpable and so welcome. He took his time with me. He could see how devoted a dog owner I was. He showed no impatience and explained everything thoroughly. He respectfully disagreed with Dr. journeys assessment that Patrick was a good surgical candidate. In fact he said it could make him worse. This was very concerning to hear because I was quite close to making the decision to get the surgery through Dr. journey because I was so desperate to bring him better mobility and less pain. Why would there be such vastly different opinions on something so important. I can only imagine it is an arrogance and money.?3- as much as I liked the staff, I was disheartened and discouraged that "S @ the rehab technician didn't do any rehab as I was under the impression succinctly that that would be happening in an initial rehab appointment. I was also concerned that she did not know how to put on the harness for the walkin wheels that she said she had worked with multiple times and she seemed unsure of her expertise in making adjustments. And once Patrick was in the wheelchair and outside, he actually walked worse then previous without her adjustments I'm not sure that she should be adjusting wheelchairs with that company until she gets more training. This is not easy to write. To be this bold in my opinions. I'm doing this, hoping that it will be read with the clear understanding that I hope Dr Journey will take all of this under serious consideration and improve these areas. Dog owners are coming to her clinic overwhelmed, anxious and worried. They deserve a level of care and respect not only because they are spending thousands of dollars at her clinic, but because patience and decency is always the way to operate a care and health business.Sincerely Kathy
