Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center Introduce
For pet owners across Nebraska, when a beloved dog or cat faces a serious orthopedic injury, such as a torn ACL, a complex fracture, or debilitating hip dysplasia, specialized care is paramount. The **Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center** in Omaha, NE, stands as a leading, referral-only facility dedicated to restoring mobility, eliminating pain, and returning your "four-legged athlete" to their best possible health. They understand that whether your pet is an active competition dog or a beloved companion who simply enjoys leaping onto the couch, their quality of life depends on healthy joints and bones.
Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center provides a singular focus on **Veterinary Orthopedic Surgery** and advanced musculoskeletal care. The team is led by a board-certified orthopedic veterinarian with extensive surgical experience, utilizing advanced techniques and state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging to ensure a precise diagnosis and the most effective treatment plan. Unlike a general practice veterinarian, this center specializes exclusively in complex orthopedic issues, offering expertise in procedures like the highly effective **TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy)** for Cranial Cruciate Ligament (ACL) disease.
The compassionate and dedicated staff at Sirius Vet recognize the stress and anxiety that comes with a pet needing surgery. One client's testimonial perfectly captures this sentiment and the outcome of the care: "Mitsy is only 9 years old and I didn’t want her to live the rest of her life not being able to walk on her hind leg so I took her to SiriusVet Orthopedic Center. She had torn her ACL. Best decision I ever made. 8 weeks later and she’s all healed up and back to a full recovery. They are very good there and very caring staff. My son’s dog had both of her legs done there and she’s doing great also. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who needs any work done on their pet. 5 stars!!!" Another noted the excellent client experience: "Checking in this morning for surgery was great! Staff was extremely helpful in transporting Marshmallow from the car into the hospital. Both Dr. & nurses did a great job of explaining the process. Marshmallow has the best team with her every step of the way!"
The clinic operates on a referral basis, meaning your trusted family veterinarian in Nebraska will coordinate with the specialists at Sirius Vet to ensure a seamless transition for your pet's specialized surgical and recovery needs. This collaborative approach places your pet's health at the center of a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary care team.

- We took Gibbs in for an ACL surgery. Everything was top shelf service from the staff to the doctor and we were completely overwhelmed by the regular messages about the procedure and recovery period and how he was doing. Recommend Sirius for all of your pet surgery needs!! March 01 · Robert Roos
- I found the staff very helpful, supportive and explained everything to me in great detail. I was feeling a bit anxious for my Siberian husky but after our visit, I felt much better and confident that he is in capable hands for an ACL surgery. I appreciate all of the staff, from the front desk, to the assistant vet tech and Dr. Zahn for spending the time explaining the surgery and addressing my concerns and questions. The case manager for the surgery and the suggestions for financing options was very helpful, as well. The surgery is scheduled in a week and I appreciate the speed in which they fit him in. Update: His eight week follow up went well and we couldn't be more happy with the results. Ramsey is pain free and is back to long walks and his usual energetic self. If your dog needs TPLO surgery, this is the place and the people you can trust. July 02 · Charissa Kenny
- We were recommended Sirius Orthopedic and Dr. Zann by the VCA (shout out, Dr. Thibodeau!) when Stinker’s hips fractured and broke. 3 months post-op from his bilateral hip ostectomy, Stinker is 100% pain free. He can SPRINT, climb cat trees, pull himself up on the couch without assistance, flip on his back, play, go potty without any issues, stretch, cuddle and climb up and down stairs safely. In case anyone is wondering what kind of hindrances your cat may have following the double hip procedure, Stinker can no longer stretch his hind legs if he’s on his back (but he can good stretch in other ways!) and he cannot jump more than a slight hop. Thank you Dr. Zann and the rest of the Sirius Vet team for giving our Stink the opportunity for a healthy, happy life following his injuries!! July 03 · Megan Post Castejon
