South Branch Pet & Bird Clinic: Patel Kishor DVM Reviews
I am incredibly disappointed with Dr. Patel and the staff here. I have been bringing my baby here a few years now and only recently has service been sub par. They documented my senior beagles heart murmur last August but failed to tell me until my next visit in February. When we went 3 weeks ago he had reduced eating and was prescribed antibiotics and given a pain injection.I went to another vet who prescribed two medications to help his heart and explained the reason for the weight loss and minimal appetite was due to the heart murmur and that anorexia is common. Also this vet was extremely affordable. My dogs condition has improved along with his appetite since.Bottom line: if you have a senior animal that is your life, do not bring them here. They won't diagnose correctly and pricing is not cheap. Waste of time and money.
Jun 09, 2025 · A KI called yesterday and they said they could clean my dog’s teeth TODAY! It was my first time getting my 5 year old maltipoos teeth cleaned and I was super nervous but I knew it had to be done for her health. This office is full of people that genuinely care. I said I was nervous and started crying and one of the ladies asked me if I wanted a hug and came up and gave me one. I was just so frightened my pup wouldn’t wake up from it. They called me to tell me when her surgery was finished and when she was ready to be picked up. They were clear about before and after care instructions and the price was affordable. Dogs dental health is incredibly important so it’s worth it. They assured me everything would be fine and they were right! I got off work and picked up my baby. Look at those pearly whites! And her stinky breath is gone too!
Aug 21, 2024 · Christine ShirleyI have been coming her for more than 10 years, and the staff gets worse and worse. Made an appointment, and because people showed up early, they skipped me, and I had to wait over 30 minutes while I I had to take off of work to make my appointment which I was on time for. Then, the front desk person gave me an attitude about being skipped over . I used to recommend them to everyone, but I guess it is time to find a new vet with better, more organized, and kinder staff.
Feb 05, 2025 · Christine MeeceIm not sure about customer service in previous years, but I took my cat here today and I received extremely poor service. The only good thing I have to say is that the doctor seems genuine and informed, however the receptionists and the vet techs handle their jobs like the care of the animals isnt their priority. Crazy because you work at a vet??? My cat has some trauma as she was a street cat for a majority of her life and the vet techs handled her like she was a burden. One of them yelling “fųck!” When she scratched him after they shoved a thermometer up her butt. I felt like my cat was in unreliable hands. They made me hold her as she was thrashing and screaming not really helping me in anyway, and they just let it happen. Although it was a quick process my anxiety was high. They gave her medicine and because of the way the tech gave her the medicine caused her gums to start bleeding. The receptionists are constantly on their phones and when they gave me my cats medication before I left, I basically had to read the prescription to them for the receptionist to explain what Im exactly supposed to do and how often to giver her the medication. Overall, worst vet Ive been to, which sucks because I can tell the doctor enjoys helping animals, but his staff seems so distracted and uninterested.
Feb 15, 2025 · LennieThis pet clinic is not about making as much money as they can from a loving pet owner. Partly because they are realistic and partly because they have plenty of patients. Ask about options and cost and they take the time to communicate. $45 for a visit. $185 for x-rays if you need them. $55 to sedate your dog if needed, and they keep the dog for the whole day. Free phone follow-up phone calls for diagnosis etc.
