Southern Oaks Animal Hospital Reviews
I just want to say that I appreciate Dr. Dean and the staff at Southern Oaks for saving my baby! We literally thought my baby was gone when we brought him in for an emergency visit, he came in on a stretcher and walked out ready to come home to his family! The instant sigh of relief was overwhelming because he is not only our dog he is a member of the family, so to hear Dr. Dean say he has more life to live was something we could not be more thankful for! Thank you Southern Oaks!
Jun 29, 2025 · Casondra BrownGot a new kitten that appears to have an eye infection that’s making it go blind. I came in today for emergency assistance and was told that since it was our 1st time coming, that they don’t do emergency walk-ins for new patients. But told me that I could make an appointment. What’s the point of having any type of hospital if you don’t take on emergencies, even for a new patient. Now I’m running all over town in hopes that this kitten can get help before it goes blind. If I could give a negative star, I would.
Jun 27, 2025 · TiffanyDr. Dean, his wife, and the entire staff were incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, and welcoming. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel like family. They showed genuine care and concern for our cat, Coco, who came in with a large cyst. While other vets had recommended palliative care and hospice, our Vetco veterinarian referred us to Dr. Dean — and we are so thankful they did. Dr. Dean’s expertise, compassion, and dedication gave us hope when we had very little. We are beyond grateful for the miracle he and his team performed today. It was truly a blessing, and we will forever be thankful.
Apr 18, 2025 · jennifer pappasThese guys and gals from the front to the surgeon himself treated me with care and sensitivity. They don't get enough credit.I have been thru several pet emergencies. This was by far the most caring, sensitive to my emotional status, patient with me. They provided options and just totally made this scary situation A LOT easier. I am a worrier, and I never had to wonder how my girl was. I was updated, and If I wanted I could call and check up.Oh and these folks litterally drove and 3hrs the day after the Ice Storm, to go get the surgery plates needed. The plates got stuck at UPS in Raleigh. They cared about my baby the way I would.Oh and the bill, could have easily been double. Trusts me. I am so glad we found this amazing hospital. Don't wanna come back, lol, but will if needed 100% for sure.New facility is nice.
Jan 25, 2025 · TaraanneWhen I walk into a business and see the staff smiling at the customers, and also smiling at each other, I exhale. I feel the genuine care that the staff have for me and for each other. A happy staff exhibits a good leadership that values their employees, as well as their clients.I have been going to Southern Oaks since December 2020. My dog is elderly and needs to come in monthly. The family atmosphere helps me to trust that Charlie Brown is getting treated compassionately when he goes in the exam rooms without me.The new facility is immaculate and the architecture is gorgeous. There is ample parking. The equine facility is behind the new building. Everything here is 5 stars. I highly recommend.
