Summit Veterinary Dermatology Reviews
We brought our senior German Shepherd, Luna (almost 14, with multiple health issues), to Dr. Holtz for a second opinion, and we’re so thankful we did. Our previous veterinary dermatologist focused only on Luna’s skin, but Dr. Holtz took the time to see Luna as a whole dog. She was kind, thorough, and clearly dedicated to improving Luna’s overall quality of life. She explained everything in detail and developed a thoughtful treatment plan that considers all of Luna’s medical needs. We’re incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Holtz and highly recommend her to anyone looking for compassionate, knowledgeable dermatologic care.We also want to give a special shout-out to her vet tech, Victoria—she’s an amazing human being. So kind, supportive, and clearly passionate about what she does. We’re incredibly grateful to have found this team and highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, expert care.
July 27 · madmwolfFor years, we had been going to see Dr Holz at Golden Gate Veterinary Specialists all the way in San Rafael. It was quite the trek, and with Bay Area traffic, it often required blocking off half a day. And so we were quite happy to learn that she had opened her own practice in Danville.Dr Holz and her staff are amazing! They're super friendly, highly experienced and knowledgable, and take the time to present various treatment options and explain their benefits and drawbacks. We're very, very happy with her, and have been recommending Dr Holz to other pet parents.
April 18 · JunshienDr. Holz is one of the best and caring veterinarians I've met. We travel nearly 2 hours each way from SF to Danville as she recently transferred her practice from GG Vets to Summit. She has changed my two bulldogs' lives with effective allergy management. Cannot recommend Summit enough. Thank you, Dr. Holz!
August 16 · Cara BennettTHE FACILITYThe building was easy to find. It’s centrally located near a bunch of stuff like Pet Food Express, Walgreens, and Wells Fargo. There were plenty of available spots in their parking lot, which is positioned right in front of the building. I must admit that I was a bit confused at first because the “Sumit Vet Dermatology” sign is positioned over doors that do not actually open—it wasn’t completely clear to me that I needed to walk through the Oak Vet doors to enter. Anyway… the lobby was clean and organized; the patient rooms were also well kept.THE STAFFEveryone I encountered was incredibly pleasant and personable. My pup upchucked his meal on the lobby floor and not only did the technician clean it up right away, she also reassured me that it happens from time to time so I wouldn’t feel bad about it. Do note that I offered to clean it up myself but she insisted on doing it… which speaks volumes.THE COSTI went in thinking it would cost me an arm and a leg since it’s a specialty vet, but truthful, the cost is quite fair.THE VETERINARIANDr. Stacey Holz is amazing! She really took her time to focus on my dog as her patient and at no point did I feel rushed or pressured. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and not pushy whatsoever— she laid out my options and allowed me to decide. I appreciate that she didn’t talk over my head with doctor jargon, nor was she condescending/patronizing the way some doctors can be. She’s great!
