★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a horrible experience with my dog here but a wonderful experience with this facility. I traveled to 2 different ER vets before I came here because my dog needed immediate attention and the other facilities had 4-5 hour waits (no judgment on them; they were just more centrally located and busier). From the experience with the incredibly caring and empathetic front desk staff to the amazing veterinarian techs and doctors (shout out to Amy and Dr. Crowley!) I felt so cared for and like my dog was in competent hands. I only waited about 40 minutes for my dog to be seen. I was given a blanket, hugs, and snacks by staff throughout the long night and it meant everything to me. These people are heroes. Dr. Crowley really broke down my treatment options for me and was so patient with all my questions. I felt confident to make the decision I made with the information provided and it worked out to be the right call. I can’t thank you all enough for the love and care you showed to my dog and me. Bowie is fully back in action and I’m just infinitely grateful. Thank you!
July 28 · Leigh SinclairAbsolutely amazing service and wonderful staff here. I called about 1:30 AM this morning because my cat needed to go in, they got full around 4 when I was planning to bring her in, but they told me they would call as soon as they had space open up. Only had to wait an hour and a half at home, and they called me.When I pulled up, I was exhausted. I work the night shift and I was crying from the stress and exhaustion, and my poor cat was crying and scared, and so confused. One of the vet techs came out to check on me after I called to check in, looking over my cat and reassuring me while I was filling in intake forms. They got us back right away and they got to work.My poor little angel unfortunately has pneumonia, but they did such an excellent job sorting her out and making her comfortable. I can tell the staff here are very passionate about what they do, they treated my cat with diligence and delicacy that I had never seen in a veterinary hospital before. They were DELIGHTED when I told them my cat loved being held, and she went from being haggard and scared to being her old self again in a matter of hours. It was worth every penny spent there. It says a lot when an animal is unwilling to leave!! My cat wanted to stay and have the techs pet her until further notice. 😆❤️Thank you to the wonderful staff who took such good care of my little floofball. I will definitely consider this place again in the future if I need them. Puddy is settling down nicely at home thanks to these fine folks. ❤️❤️
May 13 · MossThis establishment is highly recommended! We encountered a situation four days ago when our cat was unable to give birth. We initially sought assistance from Dove Luis, where we waited for eleven hours only to be informed that while they could attempt to save our cat, the kittens were unlikely to survive, particularly due to the medication required for surgery. The estimated cost ranged from $4400 to $7800. Fortunately, the coordinator suggested we try Tanasbourne Emergency vet, which proved to be a positive recommendation. Upon arrival at Tanasbourn, we were met with genuine care and compassion, including snacks and a blanket, and our cat was promptly attended to. The doctor determined that a cesarean section was necessary and committed to doing everything possible to save both the kittens and our cat, Smitten. Following a lengthy surgery and a reasonable cost of $2600, all four kittens were successfully saved, along with our cat. We were able to return home that evening. Subsequently, we had to begin bottle-feeding the kittens. After four days, our cat was able to start nursing and caring for the kittens herself. We are immensely grateful to all the staff at Tanasbourne Emergency. Thank you very much!
August 25 · David and MoniqueWe brought our cat Betty in after taking her to urgent care and finding out she had an abdominal obstruction as well as pneumonia, and everyone at the clinic was so kind and attentive to our little girl- they also gave a much more affordable quote for the surgery needed, which included overnight and thru the next day care. This was awesome, because I’ve seen other clinics charge a TON for monitoring your pet for additional time, but tanasbourne veterinary prioritizes your pet feeling well- they require that your cat has eaten and is stable before handing them back over (many years ago we had to get emergency surgery for a different cat elsewhere and they gave him back to us right after surgery!) which I really appreciated. The team made sure to update me before and after surgery, and let me know that no updates through the night meant she was stable, and that they’d check in in the morning after trying to feed her breakfast. When she didn’t eat for the team, they suggested we come out to see if we could feed her- while this didn’t work because we’ve only had Betty a little while, I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of involving the family (and encouraging us to visit extra if we needed!)Betty is home now with a whole host of prescriptions, and I actually managed to mix up two of her medications on timing- I called in a panic to make sure having given her the one I gave her early wouldn’t have adverse effects, and the receptionist was so kind and found the vet on staff to check with right then. I cannot thank you guys enough for helping Betty and continuing to support us through her recovery, but thank you again!!! It’s a real trek from where we live to get out there, but if we ever need emergency care for a pet again I’ll definitely be checking availability at this clinic first to see if we can come back.
April 25 · Nathaniel OhlrichI’m so glad i get to write this positive review here. My partner and i had to leave our little kiddos here for 48-72 hours due to lily toxicity. This was the first time either of us have had to go through something like this & we were devastated but we’re so grateful to the entire team for seeing our kiddos through a full recovery.Extra special shoutout to the vet tech Maclean. What a lovely kind soul. She helped keep us calm (well, as calm as a pet parent can be when their baby is in the hospital) and reassured through it all. She updated us on everything and sent us pictures of our older boy who ended up having to stay an extra night.Hearing how she spoke to & interacted with not just our cats but the others in the back just proved to us that they were in good hands. Cannot thank her specially enough. We gave the classic “thank you for everything but we hope to never see you again” goodbye but in all honesty, god forbid there be another situation that calls for another visit, I know i would feel much better knowing that Maclean would be taking care of the kiddos.
