Value Vet - By Appointment offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, focusing on essential care that supports your pet's health and well-being, all while prioritizing affordability and transparency.
- Wellness and Preventive Care: We recommend annual wellness exams for all patients to establish a preventative health plan tailored to your pet's needs. This includes routine physical exams to check all body systems, vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella for dogs; Rabies, Upper Respiratory, Leukemia for cats), and heartworm prevention.
- Sick and Urgent Exams: Available for pets experiencing illnesses or injuries (e.g., ear/skin/eye problems, vomiting, diarrhea). We offer lower sick exam prices for pets with a current wellness exam on file.

- Dental Care: Comprehensive dental cleanings are available, typically recommended annually after age 3, to prevent tooth loss, kidney disease, and heart disease associated with plaque and tartar.
- Diagnostic Services: Includes in-house laboratory testing such as intestinal parasite screens (fecal exams), heartworm tests, and blood panels (Full Metabolic and Basic Metabolic). We also offer X-rays and Ultrasound for more in-depth diagnostics.
- Medication and Prescriptions: We provide necessary medications, and as one client appreciated, we are open to starting with lower-cost treatment options where appropriate.
- Microchipping: For identification and recovery of lost pets.

Value Vet- By Appointment Reviews
Ended up with this sweet boy after my coworker found him rummaging in her trash. Was able to take him here to establish care, schedule a neuter and get his ears checked out. It was an easy no fuss appoint. The Vet and Vet tech were both very helpful!
Nov 21, 2023 · Mariah PI was so pleased with Value Vet’s service, facility and over all customer experience. I used them for the first time this summer for my dog’s annual check up. There was no pressure or upsell, they let me choose the vaccines I wanted for my dog, and suggested we start with the lower cost treatment for a recurring ear infection. We will be back next year!It still smells like a vet. I took this picture at the beginning of our first appointment. My dog was dreading it. But by the end, after having his ears cleaned and getting treats and love from the staff, he was happy. When we went back a month later, he was much more relaxed and happy to be there.
Aug 27, 2023 · Julia OvandoI wish I could give no stars. If you don’t love your pet this is the place to bring them. I liked Dr Cook but I can no longer bring my poor Stitch in here. I originally came in because my cat had a weird mass on his hind thigh/leg. Dr cook said he would take samples to see what it was. He prescribed us three single doses of pain medication and sent us off home. Almost a week passes and I don’t receive any type of communication about Stitch’s panel that was taken on his mass. I tried calling the falls church location and no one would answer. This was at 10am. I get a hold of someone at the McLean location and they kindly patch me over to the falls church location. They originally told me Dr Cook was available and that he would look over the results and call me back. No one called me back. I called back once again around 2pm and was told that DR Cook was actually not in today and that another dr will give me a call. I finally get a call from a doctor I’ve never heard of and he told me I shouldn’t be worried and that the mass wasn’t cancerous and it was probably either an insect bite or some type of internal bleeding from some type of trauma. Here we are about a week and a half later and I am in the Emergency room because poor stitch has an infection and also a fever of 103.9 I guess you get what you pay for and nothing about this vet has value. My question is. Why wouldn’t any of the doctors I spoke to assign Stitch some type of antibiotics? I also should add that the mass ended up oozing out puss out of it so it was infected. ANTIBIOTICS should have been administered to Stitch when Dr cook first saw Stitch and even poked his mass with a sharp needle to get sample material to be sent off. Disgusted with this practice. I love Stitch. I’d rather spend more money than put his health in the hands of “value vet” if you are reading this please be careful with this practice. Do not put your loved ones solely in value vet’s hands.
