VCA City Cats Hospital Reviews
We are deeply grateful to VCA City Cats Hospital, especially Dr. Palopoli, for the exceptional care they provided to our beloved cat, Meatloaf. Dr. Palopoli is an outstanding vet — incredibly smart, attentive, and deeply compassionate. She has a fantastic bedside manner and truly knows her stuff. In Meatloaf’s final appointments, she made sure he was comfortable and cared for every step of the way. When the time came to say goodbye due to his age, Dr. Palopoli guided us through the process with so much empathy. She explained everything ahead of time so there were no surprises, and gave us the time and space we needed to be with him. Afterward, she even sent a personalized card that meant so much to us during such a difficult moment. The rest of the staff was also excellent — always professional, kind, and respectful in every appointment we had. I wish I remembered everyone's names because they all deserve credit for the thoughtful and skilled care they provide.VCA City Cats is truly a special place, and we’re so thankful for everything they did for Meatloaf and for us. We have two other cats, so we'll be back!
Jun 28, 2025 · Emily KaplanDr. Leavey has been my cat Nicholas’ vet all of his life (he’s 13 years old) and she recently took care of him through a difficult diagnosis. After a month of excessive grooming, scratching, and weight loss he’s now doing much better and I am so happy.. She knows what she’s doing and she cares about our animals. Excellent care! Above and beyond.!
Feb 27, 2025 · Nancy BrowneYour cat will be so grateful if you bring them here. It’s a calm, cat only environment filled with staff who love and are experts in caring for cats. They are simply the best cat focused vet specialists.Dr. Palopoli, Emma, Chelsea, Vanessa, Katie and the team were all so caring during a difficult time when my cat had kidney disease and lymphoma.I didn’t feel rushed or judged for wanting to spend some time with her after her diagnosis. Emma was so empathetic and called several times just to see how we were doing. Chelsea went out of her way to make sure that my cat had adequate painkillers for her time in hospice. Even her final hours were surrounded by caring staff and Dr. Palopoli who took time to pet her and let her and me relax.I trust them implicitly with my cats. They. Are. The. Best.
Apr 20, 2024 · Adrienne RutledgeFor over a year and a half I have been taking my cat to Dr. Willis at VCA City Cat at the recommendation of 2 ophthalmologist vet specialists in RI. It is an understatement to say how much she has done for my cat, and therefore, me!! At moments when I felt like giving up, she gave me hope. She is honest and straightforward and I need that. What I most admire is her tenacity. She doesn't give up! She is steadfast in what she does and methodical in every decision she makes. We know that every good leader has a supportive team. For me it is Kayla and Coburn! Kayla greets my cat like he is one of her own! She meets us at every appointment and gathers new and relevant background info...like my cat is the only one she sees! And we know that isn't true! Coburn is equally kind and caring, except with me moreso than my cat!! If he knows I have had a problem with a family member, feline or person, he asks how everything is. He goes out of his way to return my calls and to schedule us at the best possible time. I needed to make sure that Kayla and Coburn know that their efforts do not go unnoticed. Travel time to VCA is 3 to 4 hours round trip, but I don't even think twice! It's worth every minute, and I think my cat has started enjoying the journey!! Thank you to VCA City Cat!
Feb 20, 2025 · Sandra ClunanI always have such wonderful experiences with the vets and staff at VCA. They truly love and care about the cats they take care of! They’re always ready to answer questions on the phone and help out in any way they can!
