Vetco Vaccination Clinic, located at 41 Narrows Shopping Center, Edwardsville, PA 18704, USA, offers a convenient and accessible solution for these crucial needs. This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of what makes Vetco Vaccination Clinic a suitable choice for locals, detailing its specific services, accessible location, and the unique aspects of its operational model within the Pennsylvania pet care landscape.
Vetco Vaccination Clinics operate with a focus on providing express, affordable preventive veterinary care, often situated within Petco stores to enhance convenience for pet parents. The primary mission of these clinics is to make essential services like vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite prevention readily available and budget-friendly. This model is particularly beneficial for pet owners who prioritize routine preventative measures and seek a streamlined process for their pets' health needs.
While the clinics are designed for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, it's important to understand their scope. They specialize in wellness examinations and preventive care, rather than comprehensive medical treatments for sick or injured pets, or surgical procedures. The aim is to provide a consistent and accessible avenue for maintaining pet health, helping to protect them from common diseases and ensuring they are identifiable if lost.

Its readily accessible location makes it simple for you to make a quick stop for your pet's vaccinations or microchipping without requiring a significant detour or a lengthy visit to a full-service veterinary hospital. This convenience underscores the clinic's commitment to serving the Edwardsville community and beyond efficiently and effectively, ensuring that vital preventative care is always within easy reach for Pennsylvania pet owners.
Vetco Vaccination Clinics specialize in preventative and routine wellness services for dogs and cats. Their offerings are designed to be efficient and affordable, focusing on essential health maintenance:
- Vaccinations: A core service, offering a wide range of essential vaccines for dogs (e.g., Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DA2PP), Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Canine Influenza, Lyme) and cats (e.g., Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia). They often offer vaccine packages for puppies, kittens, and adult pets.
- Microchipping: Providing microchip insertion services for permanent pet identification, significantly increasing the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners.
- Heartworm Prevention and Testing: Offering heartworm tests and prescription heartworm prevention medications, which are crucial for protecting pets from this serious parasitic disease.
- Flea & Tick Prevention: Providing prescription flea and tick prevention solutions to protect pets from external parasites.
- Deworming: Administering strategic deworming treatments to protect pets from common intestinal parasites.
- Fecal Testing: Conducting fecal tests to screen for internal parasites, contributing to overall digestive health.
- Wellness Examinations/Brief Courtesy Checks: While not a full diagnostic exam for sick pets, they offer brief wellness checks to assess the pet's general health before administering vaccines.
- Pet Meds/Pharmacy: Offering a selection of prescription medications, particularly for parasite prevention.
It is important to note that Vetco Vaccination Clinics generally do not offer services for sick or injured pets, emergencies, complex diagnostic workups, surgeries (like spaying/neutering), or extensive dental procedures. For such needs, they would typically recommend a full-service veterinary hospital.
- Affordable Pricing: Vetco is known for its low-cost approach to essential preventive care, often featuring transparent pricing without additional exam fees (for their clinic model), which can make pet health more accessible for many Pennsylvania families.
- Convenient Location within Petco: Being located inside the Narrows Shopping Center Petco store offers significant convenience, allowing pet owners to combine their pet's health visit with shopping for supplies.
- Focus on Preventive Care: The clinic's specialization in vaccinations and preventative measures means they are highly efficient at these services, providing a focused approach to routine pet wellness.
- Walk-in and Appointment Options: While appointments are often recommended, particularly during busy periods, Vetco clinics may offer flexibility with walk-ins for quick services, though this can vary.
- Licensed Veterinarians: All services are administered by state-licensed veterinarians and professional staff, ensuring qualified care for your pet.
- Efficiency: The clinic model is designed for quick visits, which is ideal for busy pet owners and for pets that may become stressed during longer veterinary appointments.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
Brought two of our dogs in for vaccinations last month and selected the full vaccine package for both. After getting checked in, we were informed they would need boosters in a few weeks. Both the vet and vet tech were wonderful. When we came back in for the follow-up, we learned that the two boosters would be over $100 for each dog, which was not communicated at the previous visit or as part of the package description. It felt deceptive for a package of vaccines and other tests to not include the boosters, and especially to not make this clear from the start. What at first appeared to be a great deal compared to a private vet visit ended up being as much if not more, and where the vets were obviously being forced to see far too many animals in too brief a window of time. I would highly recommend sticking with a private vet practice, and if you do use PetCo, to make sure to ask plenty of questions to get transparent pricing from the start.
Apr 12, 2025 · Shane KrellerVery disappointed for the second time. Sarah B the vet assistant who gave my dog his shots was terrible to deal with. Other people had two people with their pet I had brought my boyfriend with me as he’s our dog and gets jumpy and loud when he’s not aloud to play with other dogs. Tells me “next time one of you stay in the car because he’s a little crazy.” Then puts in his summary he’s “reactive and resists restraint”. My boyfriend held him no issues. The first time I dealt with her she acted terrified of him asked if he was friendly as he was smelling her tail wagging and happy. She put in his chart “special handling” because he turned his head and looked at her when she was putting multiple shots in his butt. She made my experience absolutely terrible. The only one who was incredibly kind and helped us was Joanne G. We were told by someone to go in an aisle and no one helped us for over 45 minutes. She came around the corner saw us and checked us in apologized etc. She had no issues coming up to my dog as he was smelling her, she pet him, and talked to him. I thanked her after I checked out for helping us and understanding he’s a bigger boy who just loves everyone and wants to play. (German Shepard) I will never be going back just because of how Sarah was. And if you hate your job that much to be ignorant and make comments all the time and act scared of animals you’re in the wrong field. But again thank you so much to Joanne, I probably would have lost my mind and wouldn’t have kept my mouth shut if it wasn’t for her, she’s honestly amazing.
Oct 26, 2024 · Amberlyn PartashDr. Kim Hanley acted like she’s never seen a hyper puppy before. She was very rude during the entire encounter. She needs to look for another career if she can’t handle different temperaments of animals. This was meant for the Wilkes-Barre location.
