Veterinary Acupuncture & Herbs, under the expert guidance of Dr. Pam Lumnah, focuses on specialized holistic and integrative treatments for pets. While they may collaborate with your primary veterinarian for conventional needs, their core services revolve around complementary therapies.
Services Offered:
- Veterinary Acupuncture: This ancient therapy involves inserting fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate natural healing, reduce pain and inflammation, improve circulation, and balance the body's energy (Qi). It is commonly used for musculoskeletal issues (like arthritis or disc disease), neurological conditions, organ dysfunction, and pain management.
- Chinese Herbal Medicine: Dr. Lumnah prescribes custom-blended herbal formulas based on traditional Chinese veterinary principles. These natural remedies are used to address internal imbalances, support organ function, strengthen the immune system, and aid in the treatment of various chronic conditions, often as a complementary therapy to acupuncture.
- Holistic Consultations: Comprehensive consultations are a cornerstone of the practice. Dr. Lumnah takes extensive time to thoroughly assess each pet's health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, diet, and emotional well-being to formulate a personalized, integrative treatment plan.
- Integrative Pain Management: For pets suffering from chronic pain due to conditions like arthritis, cancer, or injuries, the clinic offers holistic pain relief strategies that often combine acupuncture, herbal medicine, and dietary adjustments to minimize discomfort and improve quality of life without relying solely on pharmaceuticals.
- Support for Chronic Conditions: Specializing in providing supportive care for long-standing health issues that may not fully respond to conventional treatments, such as bladder cancer (as highlighted in a review), kidney disease, allergies, and digestive disorders.
- Wellness and Quality of Life Enhancement: Beyond treating illness, the services aim to enhance a pet's overall vitality, mobility, and emotional well-being, helping them live healthier and happier lives, even into their senior years.
- Nutritional and Dietary Guidance: Recommendations for specific diets and nutritional supplements that complement the holistic treatment plan, supporting overall health and targeting specific conditions.

Oct 17, 2021 · Andrea VI am so grateful that I found Dr Lumnah for my goldendoodle Luna. She has issues with allergies as well as stomach issues and esophagus spasms as a result. She’s a sweet pup but anxious. Regular medication did not help Luna and had its own complications. But Pamela treats her with herbal remedies and acupuncture and Luna responds so well. As an added bonus she is much calmer for days after sessions! Luna loves going to see Dr Pam and so do I. It’s so nice to feel heard and in sync with someone who treats your pet and someone who truly cares about you both! Don’t wait, bring your pet to Dr Lumnah! 🐶💕
