★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Very shady and scummy clinic. They will lie to you!! We have 2 kittens and we called for a price check of what a visit would be with shots. They will tell you one price over the phone, then charge you a whole lot more once you’re actually at the clinic. Our kittens are getting their 3 rounds of distemper vaccines. They will charge you for an ANNUAL $50 “wellness exam” every visit even though the visits are 3 weeks apart. They told us over the phone that we would get credit on our next visit because the “wellness exam” should not have been done. Then at the next visit 3 WEEKS LATER, they acted like they had no idea about a credit, and charged us AGAIN for another wellness exam. Absolutely unbelievable. Stay away from this clinic. - We have Doberman puppies, and although for the 3 day window they didn't have staff available to help they gave us plenty of recommendations. The puppies parents had been being seen by town and country in Washington previously. The difference between the two is night and day. I will always recommend the staff at Kalona! Our puppies had their 6 week vaccination and check up visit yesterday. The staff was completely informative and far more welcoming to questions than our old vet. They made it abundantly clear that if ever we have any questions call them. They gave us a full schedule of upcoming vaccines and visits recommended. The old vet we saw never gave us anything like that.I will forever take all my animals to Kalona as the staff if amazing and glorious. They are great people and extremely helpful/knowledgeable. They all gushed over the puppies and made us feel welcomed. I strongly urge everyone to go to Kalona. They are the best!!!!!!!! September 10 · Scott Coyle
- I have taken my pets to the Veterinary Medical Center of Kalona for over 13 years. I live 30 minutes away, with other vets much closer, but the drive is worth it. I feel really good about the care my pets receive here, the staff are great and I feel like they take the time to explain things, they are not pushy. I highly recommend this vet. - The Dr. took my call on Labor Day and quickly put my beloved 14 yr old Yellow Lab down as she all the sudden was ready to go home. I thank the Dr for his service during the holiday. Very professional and reasonably priced. September 09 · Whiskey Bravo
- Both the vets and the techs are the best. They are caring and accommodating to the needs of the pets.My previous vet in Washington told me the first available appointment for an end of life situation would be FOUR DAYS off. There was no understanding or caring. They refused to see me any sooner. Here at Kalona Veterinary Clinic, I had another end of life situation. The staff said to bring her in and they would take care of her immediately. They were very understanding and accommodating. My two little ones are regular patients. June 18 · Loren Vanderhart
