Apr 08, 2025 · Tania MarslandShasta is a 3 year old rescue that does not like the vets office. She becomes very nervous and somewhat aggressive. The staff is so kind and patient with her. They make a stressful situation much better for both Shasta and me.

Dec 07, 2024 · Teress SmithMy dog was scheduled for a surgery at the beginning of April, we were told it was this specific day so a specialist could perform the surgery. I drop him off and head to work only to get a phone call from the vet saying the surgery won’t be able to be done that day and we would have to reschedule because the specialist was not in office. I did voice that we had scheduled that day specifically because the specialist was working that day when picking up my dog. The next available surgery date was 3 weeks out so at the end of April. I called back days later to see if there is a closer surgery date, letting the manager know our inconvenience. I have to call back again for antibiotics and pain medicine because they sent my dog home without thinking he would need them. He was in pain, it was an aggressive growing tumor. I call other vets to see if they could get home in sooner, nothing. Surgery day comes, he stays over night. The doctor calling to update was rude. We go back in to have the tube removed and after evaluation Dr. Reed recommended to have my dog put down. Didn’t even say it in words he said “you know what I’m saying” So not only do I have to wait 3 weeks for this surgery, I pay $1500 only for them to say I should him put down and to come to them to do it cause other places will charge to much. Luckily I got a second opinion, my dog has healed and is very much alive. I listened to my own gut and was not about to put down my dog who still had quality of life. Will never return to West Spartan or refer them. It’s for profit, not for care of the animals.
