Arizona Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center (AVECCC) Reviews
My sweet boy was in the ICU here for 4 nights. I had no doubt in my mind that this was the best place for him. They don’t give random things that aren’t needed, while also taking the steps needed to insure that he got better. They answered any questions and were very thorough in explaining all of his possible outcomes and what they were doing to help him get better. They let me call anytime throughout the night for an update (seriously, I called at 12:30am and got an in-depth update), as well as calling twice a day with updates. I was able to go visit every afternoon and get unlimited time, unbothered with him. I highly recommend this emergency vet to anyone looking for top quality care for their babies.
May 14, 2025 · Korryn Van EmmerikMy 16 yr old black kitty Yuri got sick very suddenly last week. We were struggling to get her to eat and keep her strength up as we waited for her vet appointment. Then she collapsed. Arizona Animal Veterinary Care told us to take her to AVECCC and they were quick to help us from the phone call to arrival to the end of care. Every step of they way, they were right there with us, explaining everything she needed, what the cost was going to be, and how they could help us any way they could.Sadly, we had to make the hardest choice. Yuri had been there through 15 of 16 years of marriage, and all 14 years of my daughter's life, but Dr. Baxter and her team made saying goodbye as easy as such a thing could be. They were so kind and loving, and even got our kitty strong enough to give us a last purr before she fell asleep in our arms. They even had beautiful cremation box options and just today, we received a heartfelt card that we are so very grateful for. Now Yuri just has to wait on the Rainbow bridge until we can see her again.
Apr 18, 2025 · christine glandonEveryone at AVECC was absolutely wonderful. I’ll spare the details but long story short my cat Moe’s health was going downhill, and fast. The first day I brought him in they were quick and efficient to treat him. Dr. Baxter was kind and professional, and presented her exam findings in a very kind but straightforward way. We came up with a treatment plan together, and I never once felt pressured into doing anything that didn’t feel right. They treated him quickly, and gave me a clear follow up plan. Unfortunately things got worse before we could see that plan through, and I ended up back a few days later facing the worst. Dr Griffith saw us that day. He was kind and thorough, and provided several treatment options, and was incredibly supportive the entire time. He spent upwards of an hour on the phone with my husband and I over multiple phone calls as we decided what course to take with Moe. In the end we decided it was best to say goodbye to our beloved baby. They had a special room for us to see him, and we were able to spend as much time as we wanted, with zero pressure. It was at shift change, but that was never an issue as we were able to take our time saying goodbye. When we were ready, Dr. Griffith was soft, compassionate, and kind to our sweet Moe and allowed him to pass peacefully and with dignity. After he passed, we were again able to spend as much time as we wanted with him to grieve. Britney was our tech that evening, and she was just as kind and compassionate throughout the entire process. She was the one on staff when we picked up his ashes last night and was so sweet and caring right up to the end. The same day we picked his ashes up I also received a very heartfelt card in the mail from the hospital, which was a very sincere and thoughtful gesture. Although our experience ended in heartbreak, I’m so very grateful I chose this wonderful group of individuals to care for my best friend during his time of need. They provided a beautiful experience during a very traumatic time and I can’t thank each individual involved in the process enough. Thank you for showing nothing but love and respect during one of our darkest days.
Jan 19, 2025 · Stacey WilderDr Hopi and Dr Reeves took extremely well care of my sick dog Maggie who had a bronchitis/pneumonia infection. She recovered well and is back to herself. The staff, nurses and drs are all so great. Highly recommend this emergency vet service
May 09, 2025 · B BI had to take my kitty in last Friday, and the entire staff from the front desk to the doctors and techs took such great care of him. I was really impressed with how knowledgeable they were and how quickly they figured out what was going on. I thought his paw might be broken, but thankfully it wasn’t, and he’s already doing so much better. He’s even putting pressure on it again and improving every day. I really appreciate how kind and thorough everyone was!
