★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you love your pet, DO NOT go to this place! All they care about is selling you expensive services, without listening to the real needs or illnesses of your dog. The receptionist (the old one, not the new one) treats you terribly, completely hypocritical even over the phone, and keeps you waiting forever. When you call another number, you find out she was available… and this didn’t happen just once or twice, it was the norm!We saw two veterinarians:1. The first one didn’t even listen to the symptoms, only ordered unnecessary and outrageously expensive tests. We paid a fortune for diagnostics that had nothing to do with what was actually wrong.2. The second vet was professional, but it was already too late.. our dog died. If they had listened from the start and not charged for pointless tests, he might have had a chance. What’s worse: this is supposed to be one of the most expensive clinics in the area, so you’d expect top quality service… but here, you won’t find it. Just pushy sales, empty diagnoses, and absolutely no empathy. The experience was horrifying and devastating. And if you don’t already have pet insurance, take the time to shop around there are clinics for the same price that cover so much more, and will treat both you and your pet well.Unfortunately, we didn’t do this we were new dog parents and just took the first place we found, and that was our mistake.
July 11 · Katerli FlorezI DO NOT Recommend this pet clinic. My 4 yr old has been part of Banfield since he was 10 weeks old. We pay our monthly dues to cover physicals, vaccines and basic check ups. The Location in Wilsonville Old town is a hot mess! They cancel scheduled appointments at the last minute. The most recent cancellation was after I had arrived & been in the waiting room for 15 minutes for my dog to have a Lyme vaccine that should have been given to him two years prior, but for some reason was missed. After rescheduling, I get another call this AM Asking me to reschedule yet again. I’ve been asking them repeatedly for over A month to please fax over my pets RX for flea control so I may pick it up at Costco as buying it directly through the clinic is FAR more expensive yet for reasons unknown they can’t seem to do that either they reassure me they fax it over repeatedly yet when I check with Costco, they never receive it, forcing me to physically go to the clinic to pick obtain a written one, which The clinic makes even that difficult to do depending on the veterinarian on staff at the time. I was just recently told I may have to Pay for an out-of-pocket office visit just to get that RX. I urge anybody thinking of joining this practice to please do your research. The money you pay monthly is not worth the aggravation and headache & poor customer service you will receive.
June 15 · MarkTook my dog in for her ear hurting, they think there's a wood chip or something in there, but they couldn't help her. Gave me a list of specialists to take her to. They said they didn't have the tools, and she needed sedation. Keep in mind a great place for vaccinations and checkups and not necessarily procedures. Don't waste your time and money like I did if you have a procedural issue.
July 15 · Rhiannon BockusI’m worried someone’s pet is going to get hurt here, or worse… The incompetence at Wilsonville Banfield Pet Hospital is frightening and dangerous. Our dog did not need a $1500 tooth extraction surgery as the vet here told us she did. The vet stated that our dog’s teeth were “moving like piano keys“, and that we needed to get surgery scheduled right away. We took our dog to a different vet and a different Banfield pet hospital. Those vets both agreed our dog’s teeth were not moving and looked perfectly fine. There is more… like the microchip the Wilsonville vet said migrated down my dog’s back. At a later appointment she said it was right where it was supposed to be, between the shoulder blades - never moved. The bedside manner here is also as uncomfortable and unprofessional as it gets. We will never return to this location.
June 14 · Angela ClausenThe staff here is frankly incompetent. Extremely long wait times, they don’t know what they’re doing. We called asking for a probiotic for our puppy. We were told the doctor was going to review. 5 hours later we get an email of a scheduled virtual visit. No phone call or notification. Then, instead of getting on the virtual visit the doctor calls us. She goes through options and then says that we should just bring him in. I say ok, we live about 15 min away we can bring him in before close. She says ok. 20 min passes as we are trying to get out of the house with a sample they asked for, the front desk girl calls me and leaves a voicemail saying “you’re 15 min past your appt time” (I never made an appt??) then I get another call and and answer saying the same thing. The front office girl then says “well are you in the parking lot? Because you’re 15 min past your appt and we need to reschedule if not.” Again, I never made an appt or was told an appt time. She then says “yeah the doctor does this, and rushes things sometimes” whatever that means. This is a pattern of continued behavior not just at this location or others we have been to as well. Their training is terrible and the office staff has been horrible at nearly every location we have visited. I could go on about the experiences we have had with all Banfield locations. It’s not worth it. Go to a less corporate vet and you’ll spend the same amount and be much happier.
