Barrett Vet Care stands out in the Tacoma community for several reasons, all of which contribute to the high level of care and customer satisfaction we strive to provide.
- Quick and Compassionate Response: As highlighted by a client from Bellingham, our team is skilled at getting pets in quickly for urgent needs. The owner of a dog who had an encounter with a raccoon praised our ability to provide rapid attention and care for a wound, even though it wasn't as severe as they feared. This ability to act swiftly and calmly is a key feature of our practice.
- Friendly and Informative Staff: Our team, including staff members like Gail, is known for being quick to answer questions and provide a supportive experience for new and existing patients. Building a new patient account and helping a dog get to know the vet in a comfortable setting is part of our standard practice.
- Proactive Health Management: We focus on both treating existing issues and preventing future ones. The case of the dog who had an encounter with a raccoon, while not serious, was handled with the same care and seriousness as a more significant problem. We understand the peace of mind that comes with a quick and professional check-up, even when an animal's shots are up to date.
- Commitment to Accessibility: We believe that every pet owner in Washington should have access to quality care. Our wheelchair-accessible facilities make it easier for all clients to bring their pets for a visit, ensuring a smoother and more convenient experience.

Barrett Vet Care Reviews
Tacoma is a wonderful place. I visit my best friend once a month from Bellingham and bring my dog Beau with me for the ride. When he got into an encounter with a raccoon, I had to get him to the vet to see if he was OK. He's up to date on his shots, but the vet took care of a wound that wasn't as bad as I expected. But nonetheless, they did good getting him in quickly.
August 14 · Helen NelsonGail was able to help set me up with a new patient account and a check up as a way for my dog to get to know the vet. She's quick to answer questions too.
August 18 · Sebastian SmithI was getting my cats declawed. They handled them like pros. Plus, they did a good job with the procedure.
August 19 · Rosa TharpI was on hold for awhile. All I wanted to do was set up an appointment. Must have been a busy day.
