BluePearl Pet Hospital is not a typical veterinary clinic that handles routine check-ups and vaccinations. It is a dedicated specialty and emergency hospital, a place where pets are sent when they require intensive care, a complex diagnosis, or a specialized surgical procedure. The hospital operates 24/7, every day of the year, ensuring that no matter when an emergency strikes, expert medical help is available. Their team consists of experienced veterinarians, vet technicians, and support staff who are trained to handle a wide variety of critical situations. They work collaboratively with primary care veterinarians, serving as a vital extension of care when a pet's condition requires a specialist's expertise. This commitment to being a constant resource for the community is a source of great comfort to pet owners who may be facing their most difficult moments.
The hospital is conveniently located at 1646 Spring Cypress Rd, Spring, TX 77388, USA, a location that is easily accessible for residents across the region. The defining feature of BluePearl Pet Hospital is its role as a 24/7 emergency and specialty care facility. This is not a place for annual vaccinations; it is a resource for pets with complex, chronic, or critical conditions. The customer reviews provided speak to the immense value of this specialization. A client's detailed review of their cat's oncology treatment highlights the compassion and expertise of the staff, specifically mentioning how Dr. Snyder was "pragmatic, up-to-date on the latest medical research, detailed, and compassionate." The review also notes that BluePearl was able to get them in for an appointment in just two days when other oncology centers had wait times of weeks, a testament to their dedication to treating time-sensitive conditions. The hospital's ability to provide multiple treatment options and work with other specialists to give a pet "nearly 4 wonderful months that we wouldn't have had otherwise" is a powerful and emotional highlight. Another review from a long-time client praises the hospital for meeting a need for a "faster surgical timeline than our local vet could provide" and for accommodating their pre-op routine to make the process smoother. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This review is specifically for Dr. Snyder and the oncology department. (The emergency vet was more hit-or-miss, but overall was also helpful.)I brought my cat Pounce-Tango to Dr. Snyder when he was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma at the end of April. I called a variety of oncology centers to see who could get us in the quickest since lymphoma is quick-moving, and everywhere else said the first available appointment was weeks later. BluePearl told us we could come in just two days.Throughout Pounce's treatment, Dr. Snyder and the oncology team (including the techs and those at the front desk) were wonderful, and showed they really cared about him. Dr. Snyder in particular was pragmatic, up-to-date on the latest medical research, detailed, and compassionate. I always felt like Pounce was in very good hands with her, and even though she sees so many patients she was always very knowledgeable about Pounce's specific symptoms, health, and bloodwork numbers. She also was very knowledgeable about things we could try next if one treatment approach didn't get the results we were hoping for. Dr. Snyder was excellent throughout Pounce's treatment, and I recommend her *very* highly. My husband and I chose to do the gold-standard CHOP-25 protocol for Pounce. When that only partially worked and it became evident the cancer had spread to the CNS, we switched to a different chemo (CCNU/lomustine, which breaks the blood-brain barrier so can be more effective for CNS lymphoma), which gave us 5 additional high-quality and happy weeks with our boy. When the lomustine stopped working Dr. Snyder ordered another chemo medication that might work for his CNS variant, but unfortunately he couldn't quite make it to his chemo appointment and passed quite suddenly with my husband and myself at his side. He was exactly 17.5 years old.We knew lymphoma is an end-of-life disease, and while that doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye, we're both so grateful to all of the help from Dr. Snyder and her team, who ended up giving us nearly 4 wonderful months that we wouldn't have had otherwise.(One small note: as with all medical care anywhere, do be prepared to advocate for your pet. There were a few times I needed to remind the techs about things like Pounce's B12 shot, or a medication I needed refilled. Small things, that they then happily did for us, but just remember that you're your pet's only voice, so don't be afraid to use it to make sure they're getting what they need.)(Also: Pounce was prescribed Cerenia in case of vomiting and nausea, but he was nauseous without vomiting. When a BluePearl hospice worker, Dr. Meeks, came by to do a check on Pounce, she prescribed Zofran/Ondansetron since Pounce was nauseous even after the Cerenia. The Ondansetron worked *much* better for him. So for anyone going through the same thing with your pet, it could be something to ask about and try.)
August 25 · Michelle FI first became acquainted with Blue Pearl when they acquired "Senior Paws" Pet Hospice while caring for our elderly Jack Russell, Siouxsie. I have returned to them a couple times now as they have met our need for faster surgical timeline than our local vet could provide. The surgical team exceeds our expectations each time, knowing we must transit across town for our pet, they accommodate by administering the pre-op routine the night before surgery.
August 16 · Julia WattsThis is a very good hospital for your furry friend. I took in my English bulldog for a surgical procedure and everyone was kind and professional. The surgical procedure went well and now we are in recovery. I would suggest that you give Blue Peral a chance to treat your pet. We had to remove her nose because of a tumor on her nose.
August 22 · Mike NathanDr. Emma Brawn was truly an angel during one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives. She came to our home to help our beloved Colbert cross the rainbow bridge, and her compassion, patience, and tenderness made all the difference. She moved entirely at our pace, giving us the time and space we needed, and treated Colbert with the utmost love and dignity. The at-home experience was so much gentler and more peaceful than we could have imagined—honestly, it was a beautiful gift for our sweet baby in her final moments. We are forever grateful to Dr. Brawn and Blue Pearl for making this possible, and we HIGHLY recommend this service to anyone facing such a difficult goodbye.
August 10 · JaneWe had to put down our 14 year old dog yesterday and we hadn't planned on her declining so fast and our Vet was closed so we took her to Blue Pearl! The Vet Tech that helped us was an extremely compassionate and amazing person! The Dr was also extremely compassionate! It's not an easy decision to have to make but the staff reassured us that this was the right decision and we are very grateful to them! Thank you for walking us through that difficult decision we are grateful to have had such caring people!Love Bug Juice's Mama
