Bond Vet - Capitol Hill Reviews
I’ve been coming to Bond Vet for over two years now, and I truly can’t express how comfortable I feel bringing my fur babies here. I started with my cat, then brought my dog, and later a rescue dog—and every time, the care has been nothing short of amazing. The staff always take the time to listen to my concerns and make sure each of my pets gets the attention they need. Both my cat and one of my dogs were neutered here, and they did an excellent job. I appreciate how clean and calm the clinic is—it’s never overcrowded or rushed. They really take their time with each visit, which makes all the difference.Yes, the prices are on the higher end, but for the level of care and professionalism they provide, it’s absolutely worth it. I’d rather pay a bit more for quality and peace of mind. Bond Vet has definitely earned my trust!
May 31, 2025 · anabel PereaBond Vet is simply wonderful. I took my cat Prana there when she was sick. She received such wonderful, caring and compassionate care. The staff is lovely. Shout out to Jasmine, Rayanna, Caroline and Dr. Radhakrishnan (and her assistant who I cannot remember her name unfortunately) for their excellent care of Prana and me! The facility is sparkling clean. Also, a big plus - wheelchair accessible including an exam room specifically designated to be wheelchair accessible. I give Bond Vet 100 gold stars for outstanding customer service and kindness.
Apr 25, 2025 · Jennifer NovakReally wonderful experience all around. Since we moved to DC a year ago we've been here several times (my older dog has plenty of health issues). Bond vet is super clean, easy to schedule appointments with, attentive, and provide an amazing combination of careful, appropriate, and conscientious vet care. I am super happy with the care my dog receives here. I've seen two different vets over the course of the year and both were wonderful
May 07, 2025 · EmilyI gave the service a five star now because I haven't experience treatment to my cats yet, but the receptionist was very nice and knowledgeable. I think I will see them next month.
May 20, 2025 · Guillaume GracisInsane story (and full disclosure, still developing). When my dog came down with kennel cough RIGHT before I was planning to go out of town, I went to my regular Bond Vet - UES in NYC to get a full work up and treatment plan. They were lovely for 3 separate visits over the course of 1 week. Unfortunately, my wiggly, anxious little rescue did not cooperate with the recommended nasal and eye swab the night before my flight. I was told I could schedule a nurse appointment at Bond - Capitol Hill for a sputum sample, which would be most convenient for my parents, who babysit my pup while I’m away. Working with Bond - Capitol Hill is when things got interesting. Please note, I identify people by name when I can and job title when I don’t know the name. BUT I am by no means passing judgment on job title, just trying to keep characters straight in a clear story! The receptionist at Bond - Capitol Hill called me first thing in the morning about my dog not being an established patient at Bond and needing to be seen by a veterinarian for a physical exam. When I asked if they could see the notes from the 3 appointments that I had had at Bond over the 7 days prior (thanks to Bond being a national chain), the receptionist vaguely said something about there not being notes in my dog’s chart. I asked her to double check, and she briefly spoke with the vet, Dr. Shalini Radhakrishnan, after which the receptionist told me that it was a “legal requirement” for a pet to be established with a veterinarian before being seen by a nurse (quote: “[Dr. Shalini Radhakrishnan] asked me to refer you to the law”). I asked the receptionist to clarify if this meant a vet in the Bond practice or a vet specifically located in Washington DC. At that point, she referred me to the nurse manager and pressured me to consent to canceling the appointment.Another receptionist called a couple hours later telling me that she was the nurse manager. (When I later filed a complaint with the customer service line at Bond, I found out that this was not the nurse manager, this was another receptionist). The second person who called me from Bond - Capitol Hill also tried to pressure me into canceling the nurse appointment or converting to another expensive vet appointment. During this conversation, she told me “I don’t need to“ repeatedly when I asked to have clarity on the policy. Literally, no information was shared on her end other than that she had heard that “my behavior” was challenging. When I asked to speak to someone who would be able to clarify either the policy or the law (she referred to both “the law” and to “the policy”), she told me to personally call the vet. I was, and remain, more than willing to speak with Dr. Shalini Radhakrishnan, as the two receptionists at Bond - Capitol Hill repeatedly told me that Dr. Radhakrishnan was behind their insistence that I convert the appointment from nursing to vet. I asked, if the only person who can truly clarify is the vet (makes sense, they’re the boss), that Dr. Radhakrishnan reach out to me, as the practice is responsible for clarifying their own policies, but the receptionist told me that the Dr. Radhakrishnan “does not have to.” All of this led me to feel the need to call the mainline customer service. Will update when there’s more info!
