★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The folks at CKAC are awesome. They have taken very good care of my pets. I recently brought my cat in after he got hit by a car. They had to do surgery to save him. The care was top notch and the price was within the range they told me it would be. The staff are very friendly and they showed compassion for when I had to put my dog down a while back. I would recommend CKAC to anyone.
August 26 · Wade SandersWe absolutely love Central Kentucky Animal Clinic. We have been taking all our animals to them for 27 years. They are very informative & compassionate. I wouldn’t take them anywhere else.
June 20 · Debbie WilliamsThe Assistant was the friendliest assistant I’ve ever had at a vet clinic! I loved that all the assistants were so happy helpful and friendly! They treated our pups as if they were there own and that made me very happy to watch and see them interact that way! You’ll be so glad you come to this clinic! We are thankful for the referral we had and was in and out with a happy treatment plan!
November 13 · Terra RossI've been coming here for 20 yrs. Always loved it! Only had one issue with same person but she's gone! Lot's of turnovers! My last visit in August with Dr Matthew Hubbard changed my opinion totally. He dropped the ball big time! I had never seen him and was shock to hear he is a partner!?!?!? I will not go into what happened but beware of this man. All he kept talking about was all the emergency they had and my cat was also an emergency....but he wouldn't acknowledge her after she bit tech....I told them and told them she was feral. She was a indoor cat so didn't keep rabies current. That's what happens when no one listens. I ended up taking her elsewhere and she was so bad off they put her down and because she had bit someone even though we all knew she wasn't rabid but KY law is you have to cut their head off to check for rabies. I never lied to them about biting tech. So after 20yrs of service I'm completely done and devististated. All he did was charge me $364 for totally not even close diagnosis. He said gastric problems and I kept saying she couldn't breathe....I was correct she had a huge mass in her esophagus! The visit elsewhere was $1,089 including cremation.....I would have gladly paid that to Central Kentucky Animal Clinic.....it was never about money. They listened to me and not one person got bit....they didn't care old, young or feral they use protocol on all cats because they can't be trusted! Truth! I recommend them but I wouldn't allow Dr Matthew Hubbard to even look at my animals! The biggest shock is he's a partner! Thank goodness I'm not a sue happy person or boy I would definitely have gotten a attorney....I definitely have a case! They lost a valuable customer after 20 years and no one cares! It's the world we live in! My animals are my children....I have no children and my fur babies are my children. She was only 4 or 5 yrs old. The outcome would have been the same for her....but I shouldn't have had to get up at 5am to take her to get help she should have gotten 3 days before....3 more day's of suffering not acceptable when you go to your vet of 20 years! I read Shanell Mason review. Do not come back telling me how good Matthew Hubbard is and the crap you told her. Just not acceptable what happened. We are definitely entitled to say how we were made to feel....especially after 20 yrs. loyalty. Everything he did was wrong on every level! Do NOT tell me how great he is! Not one person from there has reached out to me because the report was sent to them on Saturday also. So I'm sorry for not wanting a response of any kind about how good he is. It should have never happened if I had been listened to but I obviously wasn't! Please no rainbow bridge card either. Like I said devastated and DONE! Just be able to admit when you all are wrong it's called accountability!
August 12 · Lory RanschaertWhatever you do DO NOT go here.I took my cat here on Wednesday 5/28He was sneezing having issue breathing etc.. Come to find out he has an upper respiratory infection, he was given an antibiotic shot and a shot for a fever, we were offered tablets for him to take, we told Dr. Mattingly we would hold off on the tablets and see how he does with the antibiotic. Fast forward we came back that Friday to start the tablets due to him not doing much better, so we went home and took the tablets until Tuesday 6/3 our cat is still having issue with sneezing and congestion so we took him to another vet for a second opinion. Come to find out the tablets that were prescribed are NOT for congestion/upper respiratory they are an appetite stimulant never once told Dr. Mattingly that our cat was not eating. Called to speak with her and asked for her to give me a call back. She never called and had someone else give me a call very unprofessional place….
