Cristina Valas, DVM Reviews
I came in for a second opinion after a friend of mine recommended Dr Valas, I was amazed by the attention that was given to my cat! the reception area was nice open and clean. the exam room was the same. i was able to speak openly with the doctor about what was wrong and we BOTH actively discussed the situation with my cat. The WHOLE staff seemed concerned about my cat and that means the world to be. will absolutely continue going to Dr Valas and bring my other cat to be examined as well.
Mar 25, 2013 · Jenifer RobinsonI was very unhappy with my current vet, so I went to Dr. Valas at The Family Pet Hospital. I had heard several glowing reviews about her and her practice. I am very happy I did. Drs. Valas and Bodkin are both very caring and thorough.I always feel welcome when I take one of my cats in for an appointment. I am now one of those people giving the glowing reviews.
Jul 15, 2015 · Sandy KThis is where you go for vets, techs, groomers, and trainers who love your fur persons as much as you do! We drive miles to be here for the excellence in care and concern for our kitty. Thanks to Drs. Valas, Duckett, and Dr Johnson for always making a trip to the vet a rewarding experience.
Apr 07, 2018 · Melody DavisWe started bringing our two cats to Ashland Family Pet Hospital a few years ago after we adopted them. We chose this practice based on the good reviews. At first, it definitely lived up to the reviews. Our cats saw Dr. Bodkin, whom we adored. She left.Next, our cats saw Dr. Warner who was thorough, compassionate, and knowledgeable. She also left the practice.Next, our cats shifted to Dr. Duckett. We also found him to be a thorough and good vet.Our issue is with the declining customer service. Our one cat is on a year-round prescription for skin allergies. We went for the refill and were given the wrong size. Called to correct it. The receptionist was clear that we "wouldn't get anything for free." It became a whole fiasco. Finally we were told they'd prepare the difference of the prescription and we could pick that up. Then we were told they couldn't do that afterall. That's fine. I get that there are limitations on breaking up prescriptions. I don't get the need to be rude and unhelpful. My husband went to pick the meds up (we agreed to pay for the amount we'd erroneously been given and then get the right amount). In the meantime, we noticed the meds we'd been given were 4 years old and nearly expired. Our cat didn't react to them well so we brought it up. Dr. Valas refused to come out to talk with us. Vicki, the receptionist said the dr. would call later. My husband left disappointed but expecting a call.Later, Vicki called me. Dr. Valas still couldn't be bothered to discuss our concerns about the meds directly with us. Neither in person or on the phone. I let Vicki know we were extremely disappointed and her response was, "sorry."We had purchased a year-long wellness plan for our cat with allergies and while disappointed, had hoped to ride out the year and see if anything improved. That all changed today. We called to say our cat had fallen ill and we'd like an appointment ASAP. The receptionist said all the vets were busy, sorry. We asked for a referral to an e.r. clinic and were told any of them are good. Not even a "we've had clients use X in the past, please keep us updated on your cat!"I have never experienced such unprofessional care from a vet. I would not recommend this practice. It is too bad, something has clearly changed here and not for the better. The way we have been treated is unacceptable and we will gladly take our business elsewhere.
Mar 22, 2018 · Mabel SewardDr.Duckett is wonderful! He is very observant and listens to what you have to say. My dogs also like him. He also took an extra step to research a test for me they I had a question on and called to explain it to me- I really appreciated that.
