Dr. Alyn McClure is a fantastic veterinarian. He's patient and listens to what is going on with your animal and does not rush you. The time he takes looking at your animal is not rushed, but he's thorough and will talk with you while he's assessing the need of your animal. He was so kind and very easy to understand what his diagnosis are. For me, he complimented me for doing the right kind of treatment for my sweet horse that has cancer on her face. I'd recommend seeing this fantastic Dr with all your needs. Thank you, Dr McClure for your kindness and helping me with my precious horse, Bailey. - Lisa Cartwright

Dr. Alyn McClure, DVM, operates out of a base at 170 S William Dillard Dr #114, Gilbert, AZ 85233, USA. However, his primary service model is mobile, meaning he brings veterinary care directly to your home or farm. This is an incredible advantage for pet owners across Gilbert and the broader Arizona region, especially those with multiple pets, large animals, or pets who experience anxiety during car rides or clinic visits. The address serves as a logistical hub, but the true accessibility lies in Dr. McClure's willingness to travel to his clients. This eliminates the stress of transportation, waiting rooms, and unfamiliar environments for your animals, allowing for examinations and treatments to take place where your pet feels most comfortable and secure. This on-site approach is particularly beneficial for equines and livestock, where transporting the animal to a clinic can be challenging or even impossible.

Dr. Alyn McClure, DVM, provides a comprehensive range of veterinary services delivered with the convenience and comfort of in-home visits. His practice is equipped to handle various medical needs for a diverse range of animals, focusing on thoroughness and personalized attention. While specific details on every service might best be confirmed directly with the practice, based on common mobile veterinary offerings and client testimonials, his services likely include:

  • Wellness and Preventive Care: Routine physical examinations, customized vaccination programs based on your pet's lifestyle and risk factors, effective parasite prevention and control, and nutritional counseling to support overall health and longevity.
  • Sick Pet Exams: Thorough examinations for pets exhibiting signs of illness or discomfort, with the goal of accurate diagnosis and the development of a tailored treatment plan.
  • Diagnostic Services:
    • Collection of samples for laboratory testing (blood, urine, fecal analysis) which are then sent to external labs for comprehensive results.
    • Discussions about screening tests for common Arizona-specific illnesses, such as Valley Fever and tick-borne diseases.
  • Pain Management: Assessment and development of strategies to alleviate both acute and chronic pain in animals, improving their quality of life.
  • Chronic Disease Management: Long-term care and monitoring for conditions such as cancer (as highlighted in a review), arthritis, or other ongoing health issues, often in the comfort of the animal's home environment.
  • Hospice and End-of-Life Care: Compassionate guidance and services for pets in their final stages of life, including quality-of-life discussions and in-home euthanasia to ensure a peaceful transition in a familiar setting.
  • Equine and Large Animal Services: Expertise in caring for horses (as evidenced by a client's testimonial about their horse with cancer) and potentially other livestock, including routine exams, wound care, and managing specific conditions relevant to large animals. This often includes aspects of lameness evaluations, fluid therapy, and dental care (floating).
  • Minor Procedures: Potentially capable of performing minor procedures that do not require a full surgical suite, such as laceration repairs or certain wound treatments.
  • Client Education: Taking the time to discuss diagnoses in an "easy to understand" manner and providing "helpful solutions" for ongoing care, empowering pet owners to be active participants in their animal's health.
  • Medication Management: Prescribing and potentially dispensing necessary medications, and providing clear instructions on their administration.
