We are equipped with top of the line dental equipment including an ultrasonic scaler, low and high speed handpieces, digital dental radiology equipment and top of the line anesthetic monitoring. Dental disease affects the entire body. If your pet has bad teeth and bad gums, it could be damaging the liver, heart, kidneys and more. Getting a dental done before the teeth get really bad is the best medicine for your pet. Many dogs received the "bad teeth gene" and need dentals every year, sometimes starting at 2 years of age. We provide gas anesthesia and thoroughly scale and polish your pet's teeth just like we get when we go to the dentist. After cleaning, our doctors examine the teeth and gums. We do often find teeth that need to be extracted. Removing teeth can sound scary, but there are many pets that have lost all of their teeth and eat just fine and have a happier life than they did before the bad teeth were removed. If your pet has bad breath, it just might need a good dental!

By far, our most common two surgeries are spays and neuters. We are also equipped to do many types of abdominal surgeries such as foreign body removal, abdominal organ biopsy, splenectomy, cystotomy (usually done to remove bladder stones), hernia repairs and more. We do many growth removals on skin, from benign papillomas to more serious growths such as mast cell tumors. We do offer declawing on cats on front feet only. We require the use of our surgical CO2 laser for declaws. Using the CO2 laser makes the procedure much less painful than other methods. It stops almost all of the bleeding (all of the bleeding in some cats). It cauterizes the nerve endings which tremendously decreases the pain. These kitties are all sent home on excellent pain medication. Using the laser allows the cat to go home without bandages and prevents the need for a recheck! We do surgery on the eyelids, toes, tails and more. We offer many surgeries! If we do not mention one you are interested in, please call!

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My wife and I have been going here for over 15 years. We love the way they treat us and our animals. They are very friendly and caring, the staff and doctors.
February 24 · Walter CrutcherFirst-class service in every respect and genuinely good humans taking excellent care of our beloved pets.
May 25 · M.S. DavenportFamily Pet Care is great! They are so good with our dog. Kaitlyn does a great job grooming and bathing our girl!
August 16 · Susie StricklandDownhill...First of all, I don't give bad reviews lightly.Time is important to me, as most people. This place uses to be very nice.Since being bought by a bigger conglomerate, it has unfortunately gone downhill.First few visits were okay, they didn't seem to be very knowledgeable, ie the vet tech had to keep leaving to ask other people for answers to our questions, then come back to answer.. but ifigured at least they are getting answered. They seem to be acting the part, but not really knowing the part..Welcoming and relaxed environment 🤣What a joke!We received email confirming our pets appointment to be neutered. (Attached photo). It clearly states to have pet there between 7 and 730.The employees start arriving at this business at about 715..I thought maybe we had made the appointment at the wrong place, so I asked one of the employees about the email times on their way in, she acted like she didn't know what I was talking about, when an arm reached out of the front door and pulled her in??After WAITING 30 minutes in the cold w my pet, they finally let me and the 4 other customers waiting outside, in...I was told that they knew of the problem (misinformation in email), and they couldn't do anything about it.The email was from their corporate office. If I didn't like it I could find another vet?!??Whawhawhatt?? So I did, find another vet.To me... a veterinarian should be compassionate, and most importantly a problem solver. These people have fake compassion and very little problem solving resolve.. Wouldn't it be so simple to call corporate and have them change the email time? Possibly corporate told them they had to open at 7, and they don't want to? Still couldn't they call or text your customer and let them know their email for surgery time is incorrect? Possibly they could come in at 7 on surgery day?I had to schedule time off at my work to take pet in... Then had to be late because of this?Inexcusable.I'm sure this vet is qualified to do the job,But that is only a fraction of what I need in a vet.. the fact that they cant coordinate with their own corporate office, or even their customers, shows me they are either lazy..or just don't give a hoot. I need to be able to TRUST a vet..There is no trust or compassion in this building. On a separate note, (and this is just a personal feeling)..it's a daycare too... who would bring their baby to a place with sick animals everyday??They sell candles too🙄They better start selling something, because as a vet they suk.
March 29 · Larry TooleyHighly Recommend! So happy with my first visit. The staff was very friendly, obviously love animals and seem to genuinely care about our pets. They had many great suggestions as to what I should be doing to raise my puppy and since it has been a very long time since I have had a puppy I very much appreciated that. Their "new puppy package" that they sent us home with was filled with a lot of great things including puppy food, chew toys, flea treatment and more. Their fees were surprisingly more reasonable then I had hoped. Thanks so much! We'll be seeing you again soon!
