Hamilton Veterinary Hospital Reviews
We have always received excellent care at Hamilton Veterinary. All concerns and questions answered. This 1 appt we recently had, really showed just how professional the Dr's and Staff really are. Unfortunately, a dog came in to be euthanized. Dr Mary came out and explained there may be a delay in the wait and explained the reason why. We all understood and our hearts went out to the dog/owners. As we saw what had just taken place, the staff was visibility saddened. It can't be easy to be with a family during euthanasia. Then they have to put on a professional, smiling face for the next client, trying to hide that they have tears in their eyes, true feelings and emotions. This just reinforces the true compassion and professionalism this team has for everything the do.Thank you for all your caring ways.

Mar 18, 2025 · Joanne deRosaI just read a review done by L UISA. I too have a dog that shake and was recently given Gabapentin. However, with my dog, I brought the shaking issue to the doctor 3 years ago in 2022 and was told that it was his large muscles. I took him back in May 2025 with the same issues that was progressing. After examining my dog I was told that nothing was found. I explained to them that something wasn't right with my dog shaking like that. I was told that I can try giving him Gabapentin to see if it helps and follow up with a neurologist, something they didn't recommend 3 years ago. A couple weeks ago I had to take my dog to the emergency room, because his hind leg would not stop jerking, and was given Gabapentin. But I'm still going to have to take him to see a neurologist. I just felt that something should have been done earlier within those 3 years for his nerves. Don't get me wrong, the doctors and those assisting the doctors are nice and pleasant. When they handle my dog they are good with my dog. I just feel that the sooner a problem is treated the better. However, Hamilton hospital is a great place to take your pet. I just don't want my dog to miss out on what is best for him.
Jun 21, 2025 · Linda MarinnieWonderful experience every doctor there is very knowledgeable and very nice. Dr took such good care of my dog Riley. He had surgery on his paw for a cancerous tumor. They are there for me every time. I have a question very caring understanding knowledgeable both of my dogs go there, and I would recommend them to anyone who asked.
Nov 22, 2024 · Joan ZahlerI Brought My Dog To This Facility To Get Examined For A Lump On Her Chest. My Dog Is Very Anxious & Nervous To Begin With, They Have My Dog An Injection To Sedate Her To Calm Her Down Because She Was Too Anxious..My Dog Wasn't Calm Enough She Was Still Very Nervous & Shaky. And They Then said She wasn't Calm Enough & Wanted To Give My Dog Another Injection, And Informed Me & My Husband, If They Did A they Would Have To Charge For Another One & We Thought That Would Be Too Much ..Moving Forward They Told Me To Reschedule & Prescribed Her With Gabapentin..To Take Prior To Her Next Appointment, I Scheduled It But Then My Husband And I Were Having Second Thoughts & Were Feeling Some Type Of Way, That Made Us Both Feel Uneasy About The Whole Situation. We Felt Like Instead Of Caring For My Dog Or Even Being Friendly, Maybe Petting Her, Nothing They Just Worried About Money $$$, Talking About Vaccines & Other Things Rather Then What I Brought Her In For, My Husband & I Felt That The Vet Was Very Unprofessional On Her Behalf And We Will Not Refer Any Our Family/Friends To This Place!!! So Disappointed!! Just Terrible!!
