Based on the standard offerings of veterinary clinics, Holmes Wayne Veterinary Services would typically aim to provide a range of general veterinary services designed to address common health needs of companion animals. While specific details of their service catalog are not publicly detailed, a practice like this generally includes:
General Wellness Examinations: Routine check-ups are fundamental for monitoring overall pet health, identifying potential issues early, and maintaining preventive care strategies.
Vaccinations: Administration of essential vaccines to protect pets from prevalent infectious diseases, tailored to the pet's age, species, and lifestyle.
Parasite Prevention and Control: Services aimed at preventing and treating common internal (e.g., heartworms, intestinal worms) and external (e.g., fleas, ticks) parasites, including testing and prescription medications.
Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Illnesses: Addressing a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, often involving physical examinations, basic diagnostic tests, and medication prescriptions.
Microchipping: Providing microchip implantation services for permanent pet identification, which is crucial for increasing the chances of reuniting with a lost pet in Ohio.
Basic Surgical Procedures: Depending on the facility, this might include common procedures such as spaying and neutering, or minor soft tissue surgeries. More complex surgeries typically require referral to specialized centers.
Nutritional Counseling: Offering advice on appropriate pet nutrition, dietary needs, and weight management to support overall health and address specific dietary concerns.
Health Certificates: Providing documentation required for pet travel or certain breeding purposes, verifying a pet's health status at a given time.
While the aim is always to provide a comprehensive overview, it is important to present all available information. Based on public feedback, certain aspects of Holmes Wayne Veterinary Services have drawn specific comments from customers.
Customer Service Interactions: One review indicated a "very rude" interaction when attempting to schedule an appointment, which led the individual to decide against seeking care there. For Ohio pet owners, initial interactions and perceived staff demeanor can be a significant factor in choosing a veterinary provider.
Concerns Regarding Health Certificates and Diagnoses: Another review raised serious allegations regarding a "fraudulent Health Certificate" and subsequent diagnoses. This customer stated that a puppy certified as "ideal weight" and "in good health" was later diagnosed by another vet as "underweight with a skin infection" and "lacking the 2 additional DPP vaccinations" for its age. Furthermore, the review alleges a diagnosis of "Multiple PSS (inoperable liver disease)" which was not identified by Holmes Wayne Veterinary Services. This specific feedback highlights concerns about the accuracy of health assessments and documentation. Pet owners in Ohio rely heavily on accurate health information for their animals, especially for young pets or those intended for breeding.
Integrity and Trust: The phrase "Zero integrity as a Vet" directly addresses a significant concern about professional reliability. For local pet owners, trust in their veterinarian is paramount for making critical decisions about their animal's care.
These points reflect specific customer experiences. When considering any veterinary service, Ohio residents often weigh various factors, including the reported quality of service, accuracy of diagnoses, and overall client interactions, to make an informed decision about their pet's care.

Mar 14, 2025 · Lawanda LacyDr Trautwein sent a fraudulent Health Certificate via breeder Michael Raber stating the puppy ( Havapoo) was ideal weight at 3.1 lbs. and in good health. The dog was 2.4 lbs 1 week later, with a vet diagnosing it as underweight with a skin infection and lacking the 2 additional DPP vaccinations for its 15+ weeks in age. The dog also has been diagnosed with Multiple PSS (inoperable liver disease) which explains inability to thrive at 2.4 lbs at 4 months (not a toy breed) . Zero integrity as a Vet.
