Lawrenceburg Animal Hospital has received feedback from the community, which helps to provide a fuller picture of the patient experience. One review from a traveling pet owner highlights a significant challenge with the hospital’s scheduling policy. The reviewer noted that despite their dog being very sick, they were unable to get an appointment because they did not have a local address, even after offering a valid out-of-state address. This led to the reviewer expressing deep concern for their dog’s well-being and a feeling that the clinic was more concerned with administrative details than with the immediate health of their pet. The same individual later found care at another local clinic where they had a very positive experience.
Another review from a pet owner detailed a concerning surgical outcome for their Jack Russell terrier. The dog required surgery for a shattered shoulder after being bitten by a larger dog. The owner stated that after the surgery, the dog was sent home in a worse condition than before the procedure, in significant pain and unable to move. The reviewer specifically noted that the vet did not provide a cast or a splint for the leg and did not prescribe any pain medication. This experience led the owner to strongly advise against using this veterinarian and to state that they would never return with any of their pets.

When considering a veterinary clinic, the decision often comes down to a combination of services offered, accessibility, and the overall quality of care and patient experience. Lawrenceburg Animal Hospital provides services in small animal medicine and surgery, which are fundamental to pet health. However, the feedback from local users and those passing through the area suggests some significant issues with the client experience. The concerns raised in the reviews—a focus on administrative requirements over a pet's emergency health needs and an unsatisfactory surgical outcome with a lack of proper aftercare—are important factors for any pet owner to consider. While every situation is unique, these experiences can influence a pet owner's choice and highlight the importance of asking detailed questions about policies, procedures, and post-operative care before committing to a clinic, particularly for serious medical issues. For residents of Tennessee, it's vital to choose a veterinary partner that aligns with their personal values and provides the level of care and compassion they expect for their furry family members.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I am traveling, and someone is letting me stay on their land. My dog got really sick over the weekend, and I needed a vet asap. There are only 2 local vets. They were closer, so I called them. The lady was super friendly but also of no help. They were more interested in my information than helping my dog. Since I don't have a local address, she couldn't schedule me. I offered my actual address, and she said no. We can't schedule you.I called the other one. No issues of any kind. Quick test results and labs. Super friendly. My pet was the priority.I would never recommend going here. My dog could have died. They were worried about my address. I'm sure the treatment isn't much better....My dog enjoyed the other vet so much that she is smiling and on the road to recovery.
May 14 · Boden Photography LLCMy jack Russell was bitten by a much larger dog & it shattered her shoulder so she had to have surgery and get pins put in it. The bill was for $500 and my poor little pup came home in worse shape than she was before she went there. She was in so much pain that she couldn't even move. The worse part is that the vet didnt put any type of cast or even a splint on her leg when they sent her home and they never gave her any medicine for pain. I don't recommend this vetrinarion to anyone. I will never take another one of my fur babies there ever again.
July 18 · Alana JacobsThey never told.me anything for after care with my dog. Never gave any pain meds for after her surgery. Yet I get a copy of a invoice in the mail with instructions days later of what to do. The lady at the front is very rude and dont give any information. The guy who is the one who takes the animal back is just as rude and dont speak. My 1st and last time going here.
