Fortunately, the Arizona community has a premier resource that not only meets this need but also contributes to the future of veterinary medicine: the Midwestern University Large Animal Clinic. The secondary, but equally important, goal is to educate the next generation of veterinarians. This symbiotic relationship creates a powerful benefit for pet owners: you receive top-tier care, with multiple bright minds collaborating on your animal's case, all at a cost that is often more affordable than a traditional private practice. The clinic's commitment to safety and thoroughness is a key component of its educational and clinical model, ensuring every procedure, from a routine check-up to a complex surgery, is handled with the utmost precision.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was recommended this place by someone on Facebook and I do not regret it!!! The entire process was extremely easy and smooth, scheduling process was amazing the pricing was AMAZING! And the staff and vets were very compassionate and knowledgeable. They do NOT take anything lightly and they take every single step possible to ensure safety . I paid 220 for a castration and my horse had a rare complication afterwards which needed another surgery along with a 3 night stay. They ensured me they would keep costs low as I was on a budget and compared to other places I’ve been the pricing was truly great. I only paid 550 for the complications. I would highly recommend this place, I truly appreciate the care they took for my horse and his recovery.
August 25 · savannah dortonI Have used midwestern for my two wethers for the past 7 years and always take care of the problem and students are able to learn. Prices are great as well.
April 04 · BBThe staff here was absolutely wonderful for the euthanasia of my little mare. They were kind, professional, thoughtful, respectful of my mare and myself, patient, and gracious. It was a peaceful experience for what could have been a terrible day. I know they will do their absolute best to find answers via necrospy, and will do it with love and care. I will always recommend this clinic. Thank you, Midwestern staff, for providing a peaceful, quick, and easy end to Stella's pain. I am very grateful.
March 29 · Allie KiehnI cannot say enough good things about the doctors, students and staff at Midwestern Equine and Bovine! One of our alpacas became very ill and the attention and care she received from Dr. Lopez and Dr. Chako, along with the students and aides, was more than we could have asked for. Between house calls and the care she received during an extended stay at the veterinary center, she made a pretty miraculous recovery. Communication was spot on and I feel like we were charged a fraction of the cost we would have been charged by any other large animal vet. I would not hesitate to recommend Midwestern Equine and Bovine.
March 07 · Melanie TorresThank you to Dr. Chako and staff for helping us to care for our goat Lucy. Everyone was professional and kind. We really appreciate the patience and kindness Dr. Chako had during a house call.
