Noah's Glen Animal Hospital - Patricia Slanga, VMD Reviews
Great experience! Very few vets will treat chickens, but Dr. Slanga saw mine on an emergency basis, examined and diagnosed her with egg yoke peritonitis, drained fluid from her abdomen, and prescribed medication. Throughout she was friendly and knowledgeable with me and caring and gentle with Ophelia. I was expecting a whopper of a bill for all this, but it was one of the most reasonable I have had from a vet in a long time (I have many animals and lots of vet bills). If I lived closer, I would gladly have her see more than just my chickens. Highly recommend!
May 10, 2025 · Jane CalvertI took a sick chicken in for an office visit with Dr. Pat and would highly recommend her. She was kind, her prices are fair, she spent a lot of time explaining things, breaking down the treatment options, and gave me a list of prices so I could make a fair decision. I will not hesitate to take any of my flock to her again, in fact I may be more apt to take them to her than to "wait and see" with my chickens because her prices are so fair and the quality of care was so high. Our community and local chicken owners are very lucky to have Dr. Pat nearby, and I'm also going to bring my dog to her now too. Highly recommend!
Mar 14, 2025 · Diane FNot a few minutes after I parked my car i was told I was trespassing a could not park here I have been looking for a local veteanarian hospital for my animal and was about to ask my significant other to bring our dog in for some shots and a check up which what have been perfect cause we were right across the street doing road work but instead I was harassed that I was trespassing by parking there while we were attempting to set up cones and signs for a bridge inspection i was asked of it was my car I confirmed and immediately went to move my vehicle the employee was taking pictures and very rude I will not be bringing my animals here and would suggest others not to do the same as this is the kinda treatment u may receive. I would like a to be contacted by the facility manager or owner if they would be so kind to explain the need for such rash treatment when I gladly just moved my car.
May 19, 2025 · Nathan KayDr. Pat is simply THE best! She’s helped us recently with our Holland lop bunny, Hershey, and our Pekin duck, Lilly. Dr. Pat is obviously super smart and always gives us everything we need (and nothing we don’t). We’re so fortunate to have Dr. Pat so close to home. Avian veterinarians are not easy to come by and we found the best! I love that Dr. Pat can operate her entire business herself; she does it her way and it works!
Jul 15, 2023 · Alexandra ShanerI had to find another vet. She is not upfront or honest when charging you for missed appointments. I understand being charged but communicate it and don’t try to sneak it on the bill. Does not communicate prices well when I ask. I’m on a budget and do not have unlimited income for everything that’s “recommended”. She’s also not on time for appointments. Be prepared to wait if someone else comes in the door, they get priority.
