Choosing a veterinary clinic is one of the most important decisions a pet owner can make. In California, where pets are often considered family, the trust placed in a veterinary team is immense. The available reviews for Northridge Pet Hospital from real customers express significant concerns regarding the clinic's practices and client interactions. These accounts highlight issues of poor communication, lack of empathy, and questions about the handling of a tragic situation involving the death of a dog during a routine procedure.
One customer review describes a traumatic experience where their "sweet dog died" during a dental procedure, and the vet and manager "refused to come out and speak with me after." This account details a wait of two hours with no communication, which the owner describes as making a traumatic situation even more so. The review states that the staff "did not care about you or your animals" and appeared to be more concerned with payment than with the owner's grief.
This perspective is reinforced by another review from a person who was in the waiting room and witnessed the same event. They describe the staff's behavior as "absolutely disgusting," noting that they showed "zero empathy" and treated the grieving pet owner "like she was a problem." This witness expressed that the staff were "cold, careless, and completely devoid of compassion," leading them to walk out and take their own pet elsewhere without being seen.
These detailed accounts from real customers raise serious questions about the professional conduct and compassion of Northridge Pet Hospital's staff. A central tenet of quality veterinary care is not only medical expertise but also the ability to handle emotional situations with empathy and respect. The reviews suggest a significant deficiency in this area, which is a critical factor for any pet owner to consider. The collective sentiment from these reviews is a strong warning to other pet owners. It is important for anyone considering Northridge Pet Hospital to weigh these very serious concerns against any other information they may have, as a compassionate and communicative relationship with your veterinary team is essential for a positive and trustworthy experience.

Northridge Pet Hospital Reviews
Do not bring your pets here. My sweet dog died under the care of vet Williams during a normally safe dental procedure, and the vet and manager refused to come out and speak with me after. My sister and I waited for 2 HOURS to speak to Williams and a manager and no one ever came out. This horrible bedside manner made a traumatic experience even more traumatic. They do not care about you or your animals here - they treated my dog like she was a rag doll and had nothing to say to me after. (And yes they did charge me for the procedure and then tried to get me to pay for the cremation. That was their main concern - making money after their negligence.)
August 19 · Samantha MarmetAVOID THIS CLINIC- I don’t usually leave reviews, I Witnessed the Most Heartless Behavior I’ve Ever Seen at a VetI was in the waiting room when a young woman lost her dog due to the cause of the vets negligence. The way the staff handled the situation was absolutely disgusting. Not a single one of them showed empathy. They acted like she was a problem, not a grieving pet owner whose dog had just died under their care. No comfort, no apology, no explanation — just blank stares, awkward shuffling, and zero accountability. She asked to speak to the vet who operated on her dog and was completely brushed off. The vet refused to come out and say a word. I watched her cry in that lobby while the staff looked the other way like it was an inconvenience. This place is cold, careless, and completely devoid of compassion. If they can’t even show basic human decency in a moment like that, what makes you think they’ll treat your pet with care behind closed doors? There is something deeply wrong with how this clinic is run. I didn’t even have an appointment — I walked out and took my pet elsewhere because I could not, in good conscience, let these people touch him after what I saw.DO NOT bring your animal here. They don’t deserve your trust, your money, or access to anyone’s beloved pet.
July 24 · Damien PhoenixThis family-run clinic was recommended to me by a friend and fellow cat mom. Turns out my aunt used bring her animals here twenty years ago! My spicy senior cat who suffers from hyperthyroidism and kidney disease has received excellent care from Dr. Williams and the team. Prices are competitive for the area and there is no “upselling” of extraneous products or tests. The staff and team are longtime employees and I trust them wholeheartedly.
May 30 · Kristen ParksI trust this vet explicitly with my dog and my cats. They are SO caring and kind. They take their time to explain everything and give you a detailed breakdown of costs so that you can make the best choice for your pet that also fits into your budget. Every person that works there is an absolute gem!!
May 30 · AAmazing care and customer service. Prices are beyond reasonable. I take both my senior dog and cat here. Couldn't recommend enough!
