Partner Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center - Frederick Reviews
What an amazing emergency vet! There wasn’t much of a wait time & they were more affordable than I had anticipated. My big Labrador wasn’t doing well at all & it turned out he had diabetes. Dr. Rigano was very thorough, very kind & took her time explaining everything and examining every inch of him, she also found an infection I was unaware of. She started him on insulin & an antibiotic.I can’t even explain how amazing he’s doing now! It’s 5 days later & his lymph nodes are no longer swollen & he’s back to his old self. He has so much energy & isn’t sore the day after running around like he had been for the last few months, I thought he was just getting older since he’s 8 but I guess that was actually due to the diabetes. She started him on a conservative dose of insulin which I really appreciate, better to start less & increase if it stops working as well but this dose is perfect for right now.The staff were great, helpful & didn’t mind getting my boy a bed to lay on while we waited for tests to come back & didn’t mind getting him a bowl of water etc & just being really nice to him which I appreciate because he loves people so much so they all made him happy. We were there about 5 hours and the vet stayed late to ensure he was properly taken care of, so she didn’t leave until we left 😭 you can tell she really loves & cares about animals. 10/10 emergency vet .
Jun 25, 2025 · CdRo19Our family cat, Panda, was a senior cat who was sick and diabetic. One day, he was having trouble breathing and didn't touch his food. This is never a good sign. I rushed him to the emergency center at around midnight, and they took him in right away. They were quick to see him and examine him. The veterinarian on site and I had a rather difficult conversation on what needed to be done. One thing was clear, our poor boy was suffering and in a lot of pain. We reached the conclusion that putting him to rest was ironically the last act of kindness he needed. It was one of the most difficult decisions we've ever had to make. The entire staff was so understanding and supportive throughout the entire process, showing signs of care and empathy. A few days later, we received a handwritten letter from staff members expressing heart-felt thoughts and prayers as we endure these difficult times in the wake of Panda's departure from our lives. Thank you all very much for your continued hard work and dedication in helping the fur babies of the world with love, compassion, and empathy ❤️
Apr 28, 2025 · Just MeOur 12/13 year old dog was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor a couple years ago. We never knew how much time we would have with her, and of course, we hoped we had forever. But last Saturday night before midnight, we were all home and she suffered some complications of her cancer and was unwell. We tried calling a few emergency vets we knew, and while others would have a several hour long wait, one recommended we call Partner Veterinary. They were able to see her right away, which I realize in emergency cases, this is not always possible. The team came to meet us at our car with a gurney, were absolutely sensitive to the situation and us. They were a constant comfort as we waited to hear what we already knew— it was her time. Every vet tech and employee was nothing short of kind and accommodating. When they brought her in to the comfort room, she lifted her head and wagged her tail, so happy to know we didn’t just leave her.Dr. Mauser is unlike any vet I have met before. He was clear-eyed, direct, and absolutely compassionate in a truly genuine way. In the comfort room, once she was made comfortable, we had time to sit with her, lay on the floor with her, whisper how good a girl she was, and cuddle her. Dr. Mauser joined us on the floor and seamlessly performed the euthanasia without ever breaking the bond we so needed with our old girl.Perhaps the most lasting appreciation I have is how everything was handled with our 17-year-old who has become passionate about baking. He had made a dozen cookies, and the night before, Mabel ate every one of them when he walked away for a second. Dr. Mauser and the entire team let him know, in no uncertain terms, that this had nothing to do with the cookies. I can only imagine how any uncertainty about this would have affected him for forever. Having this insight, to make it clear to him that it wasn’t his fault, is invaluable.Thank you so much. We couldn’t have happened upon a more sensitive and caring group of people as we did on April 12th. You are all amazing at what you do.
Apr 20, 2025 · Frederick WigPartner Vet was amazing! Our dog was attacked by another dog & they were able to get us in within 20 minutes. The staff was so friendly & they explained everything in great detail. The following day, we got a call to check in on how our boy was doing. Thank you to everyone at Partner Vet for taking such great care of our Joey!
May 23, 2025 · Casey NelsonI am so grateful to have found Partner. They are amazing. The staff, doctors, quality of service were phenomenal. The price was very good for what was done. I could not be happier and am grateful to have found them. Picture before we left…and she’s a baby.
