★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great staff and doctors. We appreciated the leaflets and information, but most of all the patience with our parrot.
August 23 · Lisa DuckworthI was a new customer this week and brought both of my dogs. The entire staff was very nice and welcoming. Dr. Scott was very thorough with them and answered all of the questions I had. She was wonderful. I couldn't be more happy.
June 19 · Tonya FreemanThis is an awesome clinic, sure it might be a bit of a wait they are busy delivering the best care to every patient. I know people tend to be in a rush saw it the other day waiting there, to have my pup seen. Working in the medical field you have to realize everybody deserves 5 star treatment, and we all do our best to help everybody we can. So thankful they are in our neighborhood! Thanks for all the hard work and late evenings even after doors are closed! 😃
August 03 · Josiah MarquezExtremely disappointed in this place, mainly with Dr. Scott. If I could give zero stars, I would. My 9 year old lab had emergency surgery, at an emergency pet hospital, for a ruptured mass which resulted in removing her spleen and part of her pancreas (so MAJOR surgery). Long story short, our dog was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of cancer. After the diagnosis, we were told not to let her do any strenuous activity, crazy movements, or run around as another mass could rupture for quite awhile.I brought her in to Paws and Claws to get her staples removed 14 days after her surgery (which was the recommended time) and told them everything the emergency hospital said/gave them all the paperwork. I also shared that my dog is extremely nervous/scared when it comes to vets. Given all that information, Dr. Scott walked into the room multiple times without even acknowledging my dog (even when my dog walked up to her) or introducing herself, she just went straight to the computer. The first thing she said to me was "it's cancer, right? Do you even know anything about this type of cancer?" and proceed to print a whole article out while telling me I needed to go home and read it (without telling me any information herself except that the life expectancy was between weeks to 3 months.) The 4th time she came into the room, she brought 2 techs with her, to remove the staples. She wanted my dog to lay down, on her back, stomach facing upward to give her the perfect angle to take out the staples. I shared that I didn't think my dog was going to like that and asked if their was another angle we could try instead while also reminding them that she isn't supposed to be exerting that much energy or making strenuous movements. Dr. Scott said any other angle was not comfortable for her so she would only do it in this angle. She did not care about my requests or that my dog is clearly in distress. She kept trying to force my dog to lay down and roll over while she was whining, kicking, and trying everything in her power to make them stop holding her down. They had their forearm over my dogs throat at one point, making it hard for her to breathe. I said multiple times that she isn't supposed to be moving like this and it's only been 14 days since her major surgery. Dr. Scott finally gave up, after traumatizing my dog and myself. You would think being a veterinarian, you would care about the health and safety of the animal you're dealing with but that is absolutely not the case with Dr. Scott. We ended up taking our dog to a different place a few days later and they were able to remove all the staples with my dog standing up (in a comfortable position for her) while the doctor was the one on the ground underneath her in about 5 minutes.Overall, our experience was absolutely terrible. Dr. Scott is very inconsiderate, selfish, has no apathy, and is very pushy. Her goal was to charge me as much as possible for putting in the littlest amount of work on her end. I will never bring my dog or any animal back here again. If you care about your pets at all, I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs!!
