Rocky Mountain Veterinary Rehabilitation Reviews
My dog just started rehab here and so far it has been absolutely wonderful! Despite my dog’s symptoms being odd I have never felt blown off by them. They’ve not only listened, but been able to offer insights no other vet has. They found issues a neurologist was not able to find. They quickly came up with a plan and set very realistic expectations. They have communicated and been very considerate every step of the way. They’ve also been very friendly and approachable. It’s obvious they genuinely care about helping animals heal. I am so glad this is the place I decided to bring my boy! For the first time in over a year, I feel hopeful about my dog getting better and that is all thanks to Rocky Mountain Vet Rehab.Update October 2024: Ever since I got my dog, he’s bad posture when sitting. He had a hunch mid back for years. Tonight I realized just how straight his back now is thanks to rehab and massage. No more hunched posture!
Oct 06, 2024 · Erin HosmerI have been lucky enough to have been coming to Dr. Fein since about 2018. My girl had to have back to back TPLO surgeries before the age of 3. Dr. Fein worked diligently to make sure I was educated on all things post-op. She has extensive working knowledge of the anatomy of a dog, is specifically trained in eastern medicine and continues to do all research. Though very well equipped through the early years of my girl's injury, she never made us feel like the devastation I felt was routine. I love Dr. Fein's optimistic and clinical nature.Years later when Bia began having severe pain and pain jolts that were very spread out, I knew exactly who to call. The day of her appointment, she could barely lift her head and couldn't lay down one direction. After years, Dr. Fein remembered us both and it was truly great to be seeing what felt like an old friend I could trust. She did a variety of therapeutic and medicinal approaches including acupuncture. It was refreshing to have Bia's pain addressed so quickly (just a few days!). I feel this process would have been more lengthy at the vet. Bonus, Bia absolutely LOVES coming here. She is pumped every time we arrive and get to play.We are now working towards a pain free future for Bia together and I could NOT be more thankful, or recommend Dr. Fein enough! Please take your babies here, I promise it will be worth the education, love and care your pet will receive.
Feb 09, 2024 · Anna OlivasMy dog, Duke, had back surgery almost a year ago. Luckily, he was able to walk some after the surgery but I know he wouldn’t be doing as well as he is today without this team. Their patience with grumpy old dogs like mine is unmatched! They are thorough, attentive, and knowledgeable. I’ve never felt blown off, ignored, etc. when I express a concern. I look forward to our rehab visits, and duke does too! Despite being a grumpy old man, he likes the staff and the yummy treats. Everyone is truly wonderful! Duke and I thank the entire staff - Dr. Fein and Ali, Karen, and everyone else we’ve seen.
Jan 10, 2025 · Anne ClaireI am forever grateful to Dr. Fein, Karen & Janet! In July 2023, our 13+yr old Norwegian Buhund, Decaf, thought he could still chase down a marmot in the alpine tundra & injured himself in a fall. I had a friend refer us to RMVR and it was the most fortunate decision for our little man to go here for rehab. By using acupuncture, body work, cold laser therapy, shockwave, herbals & various strengthening exercises, they helped get him walking, playing & to a Pagosa Springs hiking vacation 8 weeks later. After acute injury healing, we continued to use for maintenance as Decaf most likely had degenerative disc issues and the therapies kept him happy and active! Unfortunately in October, Decaf was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and thus our treatment shifted to supporting his body, immune system & palliative care. A short attempt at chemo made him sick so we switched to only RMVR for his palliative care and without them, neither I nor Decaf would have had the quality of life he had in his remaining 5 wonderful months. The whole team is competent & knowledgeable but most importantly so compassionate & caring. They all went above and beyond for Decaf to make him feel amazing up to the day we had to say goodbye. They were also there for him on his last morning and the love they showed will forever be remembered. He absolutely loved going to visits even if some days he did not want those acupuncture needles :). Decaf thought shockwave therapy was the bomb and would come home and play after most sessions. During his palliative care treatment, he rang in his 14th birthday & went on another hiking vacation in Taos (see photo). He continued walking 2 miles daily & playing until his very last moment. Without the care he received at RMVR, this would not have been possible. Forever thankful Decaf got every minute of enjoyment out of his life.If you have any pet that has an injury or any quality of life issue, do not hesitate to contact RMVR. It will be the best decision you ever made for your pet.
Jul 15, 2024 · Shawnta NeelyIf you are reading this review, you are LUCKY because you have found the absolute BEST rehab vet. Dr. Fein has been helping me with my pup for several years. She been with us every step of the way from diagnosing the correct problem, (I thought it was her shoulder, Dr. Fein figured out it's her elbows!) to teamwork and communication working in pain management, acupuncture, laser treatments, shockwave treatments, working with other specialists for more detailed diagnostics, text message check ins after procedures, and an abundance of positivity to the happy and healthy life Ruby can have. Before Ruby had surgery on her elbows, Dr. Fein communicated directly with the surgeons and saw Ruby two weeks after surgery to begin her rehab. Dr. Fein is a super smart, extremely thorough dog loving vet. We feel so lucky to have Dr. Fein walking the road to recovery with us!
