Rootstown Veterinary Hospital Reviews
So ... i have always taken my babies to another vet . When we bought our home , that clinic was a bit far .I have two elderly pups . My sweet , absolute love of my life , Rosy , started to develop symptoms of not only her age , but other more critical things happening .She was struggling to breathe , her hearing was fading , and my once 'run like the wind' baby girl was struggling to walk . 🥺I brought her to Rootstown Veterinary Clinic , not knowing if she would be treated like a 'dog' , or like my sweet baby girl .I was OVER THE MOON with the kindness , attention and LOVE she received from not only the vet tech , ashley i believe , but ALSO from the doctor .They took their time , reassured her , talked to her , as well as to me .I felt so comforted by them . So dis Rosy .They actually asked me what my budget was for what she needed , which was incredible since my husband developed alzheimers , lost his job , i am having a heck of a time finding horse work , and our income is near zero .They never once made me feel that regardless of what i was able to pay that my girl would not get their VERY BEST care .She was given medication , and we scheduled her for xrays .Sadly , by the time the day came for the xrays she had begun hemorrhaging from her nose 😢I died inside knowing that she couldnt be saved at that point , she was old , but she was my baby girl .I brought her to them , with my heart breaking and my soul in tears .I will tell you this ...As terrible , wrenching , as much as i was screaming inside to not decide this , the girls , and the doctor , blew me away with their love and concern for her , AND i .They brought in a soft blanket for her to lay on , they brought her a BEAUTIFUL CHOCOLATE CUPCAKE TO EAT !!!She was given a sedative to relax her as i laid by her and told her over and over that it was okay , mama got you , and when tje doctor put the iv in and let her suffering fade away , all 3 of them mourned her along with me .No one rushed me . No one told me they needed the room although the parking lot was full .They left us alone . The tech came in and gave me a necklace , a glass teardrop that she had put Rosys' hair in that had been shaved for the iv .My whole being was in complete sorrow . No one rushed me .I stayed with my baby , and the only time anyone tapped on the door was to ask me if i was alright , if i needed anything .I will bring my other elderly baby girl to them .And my goofy cat .I cant imagine now going anywhere else . ❤️🫶
Jun 16, 2025 · Melanie GoforthI have gone to Rootstown Veterinary Hospital in happy times, and in sad times. Regardless of the type of visit, all staff was professional, friendly, and caring. I have had reactive dogs with me when I have come in, and they always know how to handle them. I highly recommend!
Jan 24, 2025 · Erica BunceThese people are the nicest and sweetest people ever. My nefi was sick, sick kidney failer they took amazing care of her they did a lot for her, and us the animal hospital kept saying to put Lilly down. Rootstown, they didn't push putting her down they actually pushed for the other hand, saying she wasn't to that point yet. Lilly was given 18 months to live with rootstown and the help from them we got Lilly to 4 years ❤️ they worked so hard with her and I and even on the day we had to put Lilly down they did not rush us at all it was well past closing and they didn't try to rush us out. They let us take our time to sit with Lilly. I cannot say how much I love them for taking such good care of Lilly and letting me say my final goodbye to Lilly for as long as I needed. I wish I could do more for them, then just leave this review. These people at this vet are so caring, and they really are superheros in my eyes
Apr 06, 2025 · Tina BThe most caring staff you could ask for. The compassion and support they show when you are having to say goodbye to an old friend is beyond amazing. When you bring your pets in for checkups, they treat your pet like it was a member of their own family. I would highly recommend this clinic to everyone.
Jun 11, 2025 · Jeremy BowenWe recently rescued a puppy with an organization that vets their dogs with Rootstown Veterinary Hospital. This hospital has a lot of attention to detail. A well groomed and maintained yard welcomes pets complete with a stocked pick up station. The waiting area is open, but also broken up: there is a communal feel but waiting pets can enjoy their own space. The paraprofessional staff is welcoming. Our technician asked thought provoking questions and also helped walk me through some puppy critical thinking (helpful if it’s been awhile since owning a puppy). The vet performing our puppy’s assessment worked well with our technician and the team effortlessly gave several vaccines. Afterwards he laid at my feet totally relaxed while the team answered questions and provided suggestions and support. I’m really looking forward to establishing care at Rootstown Veterinary Hospital.
