Saltville Animal Clinic Reviews
Dr. Griffin is a gem. She was so gentle and loving with my Loretta. She is very knowledgeable and affordable. I appreciate her very much, and am grateful for the care that she gave Loretta during her short time with me.
Apr 25, 2025 · Carrie ElswickMy lil chihuahua wasn't acting right. And I didn't have her established with anyone. A friend recommended Saltville Animal Clinic. I called and asked about an appointment. They didn't have anything but took my information and said would call back if something came available. About an hour later, the wonderful receptionist called me with an afternoon appointment. They all made me feel so at ease and were great examining my girl. We discussed possible issues. The vet explained everything so it was easy for me to understand. And they got her in the very next day for surgery. (She had some mild pyometra and swollen ovaries). So thankful for the efficiency and friendliness of everyone there. And the price for everything was reasonable. My baby girl is on the mend. Thank you so much Saltville Animal Clinic, for everything. So very much worth the drive from Abingdon.Millie and I are so thankful for you all 🐾❤️🐾
Apr 11, 2025 · Teresa StevensA family member left a negative review like 2 years ago, using our family computer after they heard me on the phone trying to make an appointment to get my dog seen for a sore spot on her hip, I had the call on speaker, and the lady had an attitude and asked me "well if you cant handle her what do you want us to do?", when I told her my dog could get aggressive because the spot I was worried about was painful. We ended up going somewhere else...But because my name was on the compuer used to leave the review, they now think it was ME. I have explained it, and I honestly thought we cleared it up, but I called to get my baby seen, and they have blacklisted me and refuse to see my dog because of something someone else did.Nice....So, now I'm leaving a negative review, because if I'm going to be accused, blamed, and held accountable for something I didnt do, then I will earn that badge. That said. Barring the rude lady I dealt with that time on the phone, they seemed nice.
Jun 18, 2025 · paulandashiaThis picture of Joy is 2 days after I took her to Dr.Erin almost dead. She was cold and her eyes started rolling in her head as I sat in the waiting room. Dr.Erin and lots of prayers saved her life.
Jun 09, 2024 · PattiBe cautious of carprofen( pain relief meds) They can cause incontinence for 3-4 months !!! My dog became incontinent for months after the surgery at saltville. I'm thankful the tooth / mass was removed because a different clinic kept misdiagnoseing it, but it was devastating that we were on a wild goose chase again to figure out why my dog was constantly peeing on herself. I remember asking if the medication or even previous steriods could have caused the incontinence but they said. a receptionist at another vet( later on )even knew carprofen could cause incontinence. That day, I only saw an assistant in saltville, and she had to run back to the vet multiple times to ask all the questions . I have to say I am not happy I got an incorrect answer about medication being related to incontinence and only being able to talk to an assistant although i paid hundreds for tests..... Carprofen can even cause incontinence by second-hand exsposer (if it is in the feces of another animals poop and is injested) . Carprofen was taken off market in the 80s for humans because it caused so many bad side effects. Vets need to know what they are giving our animals and the side effects. Other than that, I am thankful the tooth was finally removed. I wish I knew the side effects of these meds sooner, though.
