With the advances in digital X-ray technology, we can now manipulate the digital images that we take off a pet’s systems to see what is wrong. This has allowed us to detect things like hairline fractures and orthopedic conditions that were previously not visible.
- In-House Veterinary Laboratory
Our in-house laboratory saves valuable time in testing and diagnosing, whether it be for regular wellness visits or emergency care. Our skilled Technicians and Doctors utilize our modern lab resources and equipment to better serve your medical needs for immediate answers.

- Microchipping
The chance of being reunited with a lost pet increases greatly if they’re microchipped. Microchipping can offer reassurance that, if lost, animal shelters and veterinarians can identify your pet. A tiny microchip is placed under the skin between your pet’s shoulder blades.
- Mobile Veterinary
- On-Site Pet Pharmacy
Many prescriptions are available in the clinic. Others can be filled through many other pharmacies or compounding pharmacies.
- Online Veterinary Pharmacy
Our online pharmacy is powered by VetSource. We also offer home delivery of Purina diets using ProPlan Direct.

- Pet Anal Gland Expression
Anal gland problems start when the glands fail to empty on their own. The secretions continue to accumulate and, eventually, the anal gland becomes impacted. Anal gland impaction can then lead to anal gland infection, which, in severe cases, results in anal gland abscessation.

August 14 · Natalie MosesSpecial thanks to the loving and caring staff today as I had to say goodbye to my companion of 18 years. You helped make a most difficult day just a little better. Highly recommend.
July 30 · David WoodsEveryone here is so nice and willing to answer any questions regarding your fur baby! I knew without a doubt that when I brought Mak in that he would be in good hands. He received so much love from the staff and the vet did an amazing job as well! Thank you to everyone for all they did to keep my little guy safe and feeling loved! Everyone is so efficient and kind here. They treat everyone’s pet as if they were their own! Love the Somerset Animal Hospital!
January 07 · Lisa KlineI had a appointment for my dog to get her shots. When they were giving her the preshot checkup/follow up from a illness she had the previous week, we found out that she was still running a temperature.I was reassured that I had made the right choice of bring her here for all of her needs because as soon as they found out that she wasn't still up to par (like I had thought because she had been acting like she was for the most part) they treated her like one of their own and really went to work trying to find out what was wrong. It's nice to know that they don't just care about my pets present health but they are also are thoughtful enough to check her for anything that may develop later on which would prevent her any pain and discomfort that would come with it.I am VERY thankful for everyone there for going above and beyond what others don't do now days.I would definitely recommend that people that want some of the best people available for their pets to bring them here.
May 01 · Thor JepsenI didn't catch the name of the vet technician that took care of Lion, but she did an amazing job as well as Dr. Sandstrom, I really appreciate the time they both took to make sure all my questions were answered and recommend the best course for Lion in the future, highly recommended!!
