I am cautious when taking my Chihuahua to the vet due she is reactive and know will be a task. This place has shown understanding from the initial visit and the was the first to suggest medication, calming tips and just overall education when I was worried. A bonus is they weren’t concerned when spoke of boarding for upcoming vacation. If you are looking for a reliable and kind place, this is a good spot.

I was very nervous about this but Toni went out of her way to reassure me that it would all be okay and he would be well taken care of. She’s always been so gentle and understanding of him. I appreciate the lengths the staff go to in order to make him feel comfortable and take care of him.

Now we don't have a place to board or a vet. THE LAWS REGARDING VETERINARY TREATMENT AND VETERINARY STAFF TREATMENT OF PATIENTS MUST CHANGE woman should not be allowed to work when they ABUSE their authority in the workplace to serve their own bidding and risk the lives of innocent animals this is morbid and has no place in any kind of health or veterinary care. In addition we tried to talk with her days later to resolve and she was still hyperventilating over the phone all worked up envious and angry AND WE DON'T EVEN KNOW HER! People who do this should be fired! DO NOT RECOMMEND.Tonie - Allow me to respond to your condescending blame shifting response. I contacted southwest animal because my dog has been a dayboarding guest and patient there for many YEARS and because Monday my dog had swallowed raisins. I was extremely panicked, crying, driving around and I contacted an office that I thought I trusted. But I was wrong! the receptionist who Passed my call had no right to do so. I asked whether the clinic had activated charcoal as that is what was prescribed to my friend's dog years ago at another facility and I knew this is what is necessary for toxic poisoning and I knew that not all clinics have activated charcoal on hand and that is why I (VERY REASONABLY) asked.Of course I wanted to come in, in fact I begged you to allows us in and I indicated to you that I was in the parking lot when you yelled at me screaming that you were not going to see me and my little dog - so what you are saying is a bold lie.While you are calling me a lay person in attempts to insult me I'm secure enough in my DOCTORATE level education and extensive experience with animals that it does not phase me. Calling a diligent, caring and cautious pet parent rude only speaks to your lack of professionalism and candor in the workplace.Additionally the fact that you have personal problems with insecurity does not make ME rude as YOU are the one with the problem with your life and work NOT ME. I have NEVER had a problem with that clinic until you got on the phone Monday and hyped out, taunting and insulting me while I'm crying and meltingdown looking for care for my dog. I also am very taken aback that you attempt to paint me as some rude, arrogant, pseudo narcissistic person who is unreasonable and thinks everyone should cater to her. When the truth is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE I'm an animal lover, advocate and defender, I have a great heart for animals and my ONLY objective Monday was for his well being and safety. I have to ask, what then was yours?No one was abusive and considering a worried pet parents question as abusive also demonstrates how lacking your ethics are for the work that you're doing. I must say I was worried that he’d be turned away because of his age and probably never being groomed before, other than being groomed by the animal foundation before adoption. But she took her time with him and was more than patient without once having to sedate him or turn him away for that matter! I’m forever grateful for Southwest Animal Hospital and their Grooming services and taking such great care of my baby!! You’ve gained a furever client(will update with pics once he’s finished napping as he is a bit worn out😊)💜
