Veterinary Emergency Group Reviews
This staff of doctors, nurses and techs are amazing. They suspected a disease and administered every test to determine the illness. Bloodwork confirmed the illness and my dog was diagnosed with a disease that could have killed him. Staff took every step possible to provide my dog with an amazing level of care. The staff was attentive to my dog and while admitted at their location I constantly called for updates (when I couldn't be there) and they provided updates on his care and any concerns. The staff are very professional and I would recommend this location to anyone who needs exceptional care. Thank you for what you all do for our fur babies.
Jun 27, 2025 · Nat mardoyanThere is a reason why there are so many raving reviews about this place because they are seriously so excellent. I was having an emergency with my bunny late at night and as you know, most places will not take exotic pets so I was absolutely panicking. When another emergency vet told me to go to veg in newton I drove straight there and called them about what was happening with my bunny. Vet tech was literally waiting outside for me to show up and they took my bunny right to look at him. The care and reassurance that they had given me was immaculate and I am so glad that I went here. My bunny is doing absolutely amazing now. Dr. Mello was incredibly thorough and also the vet tech that works there with the dreads (I did not catch her name I’m so sorry) and the tech Danielle were also so kind and informative. We hope not to have emergencies like this, but I’m so glad to know that there is a place that is so kind and caring and amazing in case anything ever happens again. I seriously would never go anywhere else in an emergency with my pets. Thank you guys so much for caring so much.
Apr 24, 2025 · GinaVEG was awesome when my cat accidentally swallowed a piece of his toy and we had to induce vomiting. When we called, I spoke to a doctor right away and we made a game plan for how to handle it. Staff made it so we could check in on the way over which meant they were ready for us when we arrived. The staff was kind, communicative, and had a great sense of humor about our cat’s poor choices - I’m so glad we had such a quality emergency vet option nearby! (Photo of the slightly intoxicated, post vomit criminal and his new best friend at VEG attached for your enjoyment)
May 13, 2025 · Leah ColeSo much better than BluePearl, I’ll never go back there. I started crying in the clinic because my dog was here for her own problems when someone else’s dog rushed in with a very serious emergency right in front of me. I was so overwhelmed with grief for them and fear that I might lose mine too. Someone noticed and ushered me gently into a quiet room where I could cuddle mine until the doctor was ready for us. They also offered sparkling water just because. They made the most of a miserable, tragic day for all of us. I could never do this work so I am thankful for you heroes.
May 04, 2025 · Kristen CrayIf you are in the unfortunate position that you need to take your pet to the emergency, look no further than VEG!!! I have visited the one in Needham, MA Twice now and have absolutely been blown away with the care and professionalism of the team. The absolute love, compassion, feeling of calm and Relaxing Environment they have is Amazing for both Pet and Owner. Not only do you get to stay with your baby (pet) The whole time you’re actually with the team in the back with the other pets being treated. It definitely is a different way in the veterinary world, but I definitely hope it’s the new way.
