★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I can't say enough good things about this practice. The veterinarians and staff are all professional, caring, and very compassionate. I came to this practice only a couple of years ago with an aging dog, but they were always wonderful to answer all my questions, quickly schedule us for appointments, and give me advice for his continued good health. My dog's primary vet was Dr. Gleeson and I will simply say she is very good in her profession, with plenty of compassion for their owners as well! - If you're planning on using Wakarusa Veterinary Hospital.. please reconsider. I don't want to see another elderly or disabled person to suffer at the hands of this office..nor see another puppy vaccine injured. My mom is visually impaired and she was taken full advantage of by the doctor and their staff. She went in for a single rabies vaccine and a nail trim. She was quoted $51 and walked away with a bill being close to $200 and vaccines her puppy did not need. He has been over vaccinated and vaccine injured as a result. The vet bullied her into another full round of puppy shots (even though my mom brought proof of his full three rounds of puppy vaccines he'd already completed). She gave him a full round plus boosters on that day. Even though she saw a direct correspondence with our breeder and knew exactly what he had been given by her and by my vet in Overbrook. Furthermore she harassed my mom over feeding him a whole foods, raw foods diet. She was belligerent, dismissive and rude. My mom left in tears and not knowing what she signed. They FULLY knew she was visually impaired. Unfortunately I had to work that day and was unable to be there to assist my mom. (She lives in a senior residence with transportation).I contacted the business manager and she assured me she'd remove those extra charges from my mom's credit card. Instead, she sent my mom another email justifying her vet's actions. To this date, they still have not made their grievous actions right.Gus.. my mom's little Corgi has not been the same since his vaccines. She almost lost him to the over vaccination. Please take your animals elsewhere! March 09 · Callie Parker
- I took my dog in to see Dr. Pees this morning and it was unlike any vet visit I've ever been to. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. She treated my dog with such care and explained everything she did/recommended fully. It turns out, we've been cleaning his ears incorrectly and never would have known if not for her thoughtful questions. She is clearly passionate about what she does and is extremely knowledgeable. I'm so thankful to have found her and would recommend to anyone in the area! April 25 · Sophia Albert
- I recently took my dog Domino for a dental procedure. They were super fast on scheduling an emergency appointment for me compared to other local vets that had no availability till November!!Dr. Amend was amazing, she was very kind and explained to me what needed to be done for Domino’s procedure. Everything went well and Domino is recovering. They had follow up calls to make sure he is doing well with the medicine they prescribed him. Overall great experience!Thank you so much!! :) October 14 · Melanny Salazar
- I have been bringing my pup here for 2 years and everyone is amazing! They answer all my questions, even the neurotic ones, and genuinely listen to all my concerns. My dog genuinely loves going to the vet and seeing Dr. Gleeson! They are also very affordable and will make sure you understand any expenses that could be incurred during treatments. They also understand that all dogs are different. For example, my pup does MUCH better if I am there and the one holding my her if she is hurt. They take that into consideration and let me hold her if that is needed. She is a very clingy puppy, but doesn’t even bat an eye if she has to be taken back away from me but the vet techs because they are all just as kind and amazing as the vets. And don’t get me started on the AMAZING front desk staff they have who are also kind and know my pup by name. I love having a vet that I can trust with my pup. They follow up on care just to make sure everything is okay. I am so glad I found this vet! March 03 · Kaitlyn Taylor
