★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It appears as if my first review of Animal Behavior Clinic did not post. My Great Dane Titus had his follow up visit with Dr. Pachel today. I cannot recommend Dr. Pachel highly enough to anyone who may need help working through any issues with their dog. He will take any amount of time needed to answer any of my questions, address any concerns or explain how and why certain techniques work- including training techniques, medication choices and side effects. Most important his love of animals comes through and Titus loves him 🐾
June 26 · Gina SquiresWhen my anxious Saint Bernard, Winsor, and I arrived for our first visit, it was exactly as I hoped and things were carefully planned and setup for success: meeting outside, clearing distractions and triggers on the way in, special safe space rooms, and so much more proactive planning to set us up for immediate success and beyond! Dr. Pachel spoke to me with the warmth of someone who’s walked this road beside countless families—never over my head, and able to breakdown complex concepts into simple and clear understanding. It was clear in a few minutes that he's just a fellow dog‑lover who also happens to be one of the country’s top veterinary behaviorists.Deep knowledge, shared generously. Whether he’s mapping out medication options or explaining why a simple environmental tweak can lower Winsor’s baseline anxiety, Dr. Pachel translates science into plain language I can act on right away. Every plan comes with realistic milestones and room to adjust.Guidance that sticks. After each consult we leave with an action sheet, links for further reading, and personal notes that show he listened.Clinic‑wide excellence - What truly elevates Animal Behavior Clinic is how seamlessly every staff member contributes to the experience. Scheduling is flexible and well‑organized; communications are prompt and clear; and post‑visit follow‑through—summaries, medication coordination, progress check‑ins—happens without a single loose end. Each interaction feels thoughtfully choreographed to keep stress low, information flowing, and Winsor’s treatment plan moving forward. It’s a clinic where empathy and efficiency meet, and you can sense that shared commitment from the front desk to the treatment room. Why Winsor—and I—trust Animal Behavior Clinic:- Evidence‑based care paired with genuine compassion- Straightforward explanations that empower, not overwhelm- Responsive communication—answers often the same day- Custom behavior plans that evolve as Winsor does- A team that anticipates needs and puts the dog’s comfort firstBottom line: If you want a behavior specialist who blends world‑class expertise with heartfelt care—and a clinic team that treats your dog like their own—look no further than Dr. Pachel and Animal Behavior Clinic. Winsor’s confidence grows with every visit, and so does my gratitude.
May 08 · Christopher CappWe had our initial consultation with Dr. Christopher Pachel and it exceeded all expectations. We have a complex but wonderful 1 year old dog who needs a sophisticated understanding of canine behavior, which includes emotional, physical and medication needs. We have worked with several trainers who all recommended Dr. Pachel and the Animal Behavior Clinic. We couldn't have been more pleased, and frankly impressed, by how quickly he understood our dog's personality and needs and moved right into strategies for how best to work with her for success. We feel we have a real team member in our camp now and could not recommend him more highly.
May 22 · Marcia WoodI highly recommend seeing Dr. Pachel at ABC. I am from the Seattle area but I live in the UK. I have been struggling with my dog's noise phobia for two years now, and it was difficult to find appropriate help over here. I had been liasing with ABC for a little while trying to get my GP on board with a virtual consult, but his regular vet wasn't super supportive. Last month, I unexpectedly had to return to the US for a family emergency and they were able to move things around to get me in for an in-person appt. AND, prior to the appointment, the clinic inquired about what type of learner I am and any needs that I have for the appointment (to take away as much as possible). Not only were they able to get me in, but Dr. Pachel was wonderful. He is an attentive listener and caring. My dog was a service dog with full public access rights prior to moving to the UK, where the noise phobia started. Instead of telling me he can no longer do that, he said there is always hope! While of course still putting my dog's welfare first. He came up with a plan to suite both my needs and my dog's, which included medication and desensitization.Since my appointment, him and his team have been available over email for questions. Seeing a behaviorist is expensive, but I don't regret visiting ABC at all. Even if my dog does not ever return to public access, I am so happy knowing that I am doing everything I can to make his life enjoyable. I attached of photo of him so you read this review.
January 23 · Carly BakerDr Pankratz and the front staff have been so good to our family. We are thankful to have found such a compassionate veterinary behaviorist, as it is such a difficult specialty. Within a month of adoption of our rescue dog, we knew we needed professional help. From our first visit we knew this would be a support system we would in our journey. Through the med changes, each behavior change and ongoing care we relied heavily on ABC. They have quick response time and great communication with eachother. They also work in the same building as instinct training who they also have open lines of communication with- this was a game changer! We are eternally grateful for the love and support!
