Plans are available for puppies, kittens, adult dogs, adult cats, and even seniors, with varying levels of coverage that can include services like dental cleanings and additional diagnostics. Many pet owners report significant savings (over 30%) by utilizing these plans.

Wellness Plans also include virtual office visits, allowing for consultations from the comfort of your home, saving time and reducing stress for both pet and owner.

Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
The service here is actually appalling. We took our animals to a different vet and I can’t believe the difference in treatment. This vet labeled our dog aggressive when she has no history of that behavior. They only did this because she is part pit bull. When we went to take our dog to a different vet they failed to send over all of her medical records, which I believe was done intentionally. We had two previous tumor removal surgeries done there, and when we went somewhere else for a second opinion on a third tumor, the office conveniently didn’t send those records.Everytime we brought our animals in they would try to upsell tests they didn’t even need causing us to spend hundreds of unnecessary dollars. This is taking advantage of pet owners and scaring them into expensive tests. The office staff is not well trained. Even if you call ahead to pick up medication you are left waiting for up to 30 minutes for the “right” person to get the medication. This doesn’t seem to be the office staffs fault. It seems the turnover rate is insanely high and they can’t keep quality workers. I honestly feel bad for the people who work there. Now as we try to transition care to another vets office they will not let us cancel our wellness plans. They want to continue to charge us even though we made it very clear we will never be coming back. This place is simply a cash grab and not anywhere you should bring your animals. Please find your pets a different animal hospital.
Jun 18, 2025 · Mary WelchI moved back to AZ in August 2024 but am native to Tucson. I don't have a relationship with any vets in the Phoenix area. Thankfully, my two adult cats are healthy and the need for a vet hasn't appeared here yet.. However, I started foster(failing) two 7 week old stray kittens on Friday 5/9/25 🥴Over the weekend, I noticed one of the kittens had a distended tummy, bigger than the average "kitten bloat". I became more concerned last night 5/12/25 when I was compression rubbing his tummy and felt masses(?) below his ribs that his sister didn't have. I've always adopted adult cats so I'm not too familiar with the insides of kittens lol. Since I needed to get them an exam and start vaccinations anyways, I called around to multiple vet clinics this morning hoping to get in same day and get his tummy checked out. I was surprised to see that a lot of vets here either have a long wait list or very bad reviews..My boyfriend mentioned he used to go to Banfield in California years ago, so I decided to call this Mesa location. Monica answered the phone right away. Luckily they had an appointment cancel last minute and they scheduled me to come in 15 minutes later at 9:15a! By the time I was ready to leave the house, it was 9:15a 😅 So I called back, and Monica kindly moved the appointment to 9:30a.Empty waiting room when I arrived at 9:26a. Monica at the desk was lovely. Still in training, but informative and efficient! Katie the vet tech was also informative and professional. Dr. Leifker was alsoooo informative and delightfully personable. They found nothing of immediate concern with the one kitten's tummy, but there is the potential he could have worms since they were born and lived outdoors prior. I'll bring in their stool samples as soon as they poop in front of me lol. The kitters got the first vaccination recommended for their age (~2mo) and we scheduled out their later vaccines and spays.I appreciated these ladies taking the time to answer all of my questions. I was indeed offered the Optimum Wellness Early Care Plus Plan. Adequate vet care for kittens is expensive, period. The monthly cost of the care plan is reasonable and includes a slew of what we will need anyways, so I signed up. I paid for two membership fees and two first-month-payments, their exams and vaccines were included. Saved $100. Left at 11a.Excited to build a relationship with Banfield over these next few months and perhaps years 🙂 Hopefully this pleasant introductory visit holds true in the future!
May 14, 2025 · KoobiThe Banfield care group at the Stapley location in Northern Mesa has been amazing. My cats are getting older and I feel like I am in good hands any time I bring them in for checkups. The Banfield team works with my budget to help provide an affordable care plan for my cats and always checks up on them after a visit. This is my new home base now.
Jan 29, 2025 · Rachel MaherMy dogs and I LOVE Dr. Garino. She is straightforward and honest while remaining kind and professional. When I talk to her, it feels like she genuinely cares about what's best for my dog and not just making money.
Feb 19, 2025 · Jessica DykstraDoctor Hansen and the staff are great! This stand alone pet hospital is very clean and organized! The Doctor and staff answered a myriad of questions about my pets care, procedures, and after care requirements. Awesome experience!
