Cleveland Animal Hospital, PLLC is a full-service veterinary medical facility dedicated to providing a wide range of care for pets. Under the leadership of Dr. Matt Bryant, a 2004 graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine with a decade of experience in companion animal practice, the hospital emphasizes preventative medicine, in-depth disease management, and non-referral surgery. Their services are designed to address various aspects of a pet's health throughout its life:
Preventative Care: This foundational service includes comprehensive wellness exams, tailored vaccination programs to protect against common diseases, and effective parasite prevention strategies (fleas, ticks, heartworms). Nutritional counseling is also offered to help pets maintain optimal health.
Diagnostic Exams: To accurately identify health issues, the hospital utilizes various diagnostic tools. These include in-house laboratory testing for blood work (such as complete blood counts and chemistry panels), urinalysis, and fecal examinations. Digital radiographs (X-rays) are also employed for clear internal imaging.
Dermatology: Diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions, allergies, and dermatological issues to ensure your pet's comfort and healthy skin/coat.
Geriatric Care: Specialized care plans for aging pets, focusing on managing age-related conditions like arthritis, pain management, and maintaining their quality of life during their golden years.
Internal Medicine: Comprehensive diagnosis and management of various internal diseases affecting organs and body systems, providing in-depth disease management.
General Surgery: A range of surgical procedures, including routine spays/neuters, and soft tissue surgeries, performed with careful monitoring and pain management protocols. They also offer Laser Surgery as an option for many procedures.
Urgent Care: While not a 24/7 emergency center, they accommodate urgent situations during their operating hours, aiming to get pets in for treatment faster than some emergency referral hospitals. It is recommended to call ahead.
Online Pharmacy: For convenience, Cleveland Animal Hospital offers an online pharmacy for prescription refills, Purina Pro Plan VetDirect, and Hill's to Home diets, allowing for direct delivery to clients' homes.
Compassionate End-of-Life Care: Providing empathetic support and services, including euthanasia in a peaceful, private setting, with thoughtful gestures like creating paw print impressions for grieving families.
The team strives to provide an education-based veterinary service, focusing on exploring options for each unique situation, reflecting their commitment to both pet and pet parent.
Exceptional Empathy and Compassion: A consistently praised highlight is the profound empathy and sympathy demonstrated by Dr. Matt Bryant and the entire staff, especially during the most difficult times. The practice's unique gesture of lighting a candle at the reception desk when a pet is passing illustrates their deep understanding of the human-animal bond and their respect for grieving families, as poignantly mentioned in the review about Mittens.
Supportive and Understanding Staff: Clients consistently describe the front desk girls as "so sweet and helpful" and all the techs as "amazing." This creates a welcoming and supportive environment, making visits less stressful for both pets and their owners.

Cleveland Animal Hospital, PLLC Reviews
Dr. Matt Bryant and the staff at Cleveland Animal Hospital are great. They've helped take care of our pets needs for years and are very empathetic/sympathetic to the needs of their patients and patients "parents."They even light a candle on the receptionists desk to let other people know that someone's pet is passing and that those family members are with their pet at that time. Such as my pet Mittens who passed today, 6/21/24, due to very aggressive cancer.

May 14, 2025 · A RuppePlease support this business and the amazing folks that work there. They treated my family with such kindness in a time of need. I hope sharing our story can bring y’all some new business. This was not our local vet because we live an hour and a half north in Asheville. When Hurricane Helene hit our region our son Scooby’s health got to a point where we had to think of end of life care. We couldn’t get out with flooding on one side of the neighborhood and trees on the other. If we could get out there was no power or water anywhere so no vets were not open to help anyways. On Oct 1st the kindness of a friend to siphon some gas, helped us get out of town. The plan was to have one last night in Charolette so we could clean up and have a normal night before we found a vet in the morning to put him asleep. Once we got in the car he got worse and all the plans went out the window. It is a miracle we found the Cleveland Animal Hospital when we did. The staff there stayed open past close for us. They treated us with kindness. That day, that time was one of the worst times we have gone through and y’all were the beautiful shinning moment we needed in that dark time.If you are reading this review trying to decide on a new vet for your loved one remember how they treated us like neighbors when we live 1.5 hrs away. I just imagine the care they give to their actual physical neighbors in their community. I hope a lot of good comes your way. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!Palomo Family
