For New York pet owners, Community Veterinary Medicine is a truly worthwhile choice for several compelling reasons. The clinic's commitment to patient care and client satisfaction is evident in their practices and the glowing reviews from their clientele. The staff's kindness and patience are repeatedly mentioned, creating a welcoming and stress-free environment for pets, even those with anxiety. A client whose dog, Grimm, is prone to anxiety, praised the staff for their ability to keep him calm during his tests, stating they "will never go anywhere else." Another key factor is their financial transparency. Any pet owner knows that veterinary bills can add up quickly. July 15 · Jeaniene GreenI’ve been here multiple times for my boy, Grimm, I’ve met probably all the staff who are all so patient and kind. They reassured me and kept my anxious boy calm while he was getting his tests done, will never go anywhere else .
August 24 · Alissa Maldonado10/10 would recommend. Always available whenever we need an appointment and always cares for the dogs. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Dr. Krieger is definitely a one of a kind vet.
August 12 · Sonia PatriciaAmazing team of care takers! We love coming here. Best neighbourhood vet!
July 19 · shagun mittalI've been bringing my dog here for the past 7 years. Honestly, this place is not for everyone. I don't want to knock this vet too much, but if you are close enough, I recommend Inwood Animal Hospital. They are more affordable, nicer, offer alternatives, and have better reviews. The prices skyrocketed over the years. Yes, I am aware prices change and inflation but the increase (especially moving to a different location) is incredible. I wish I had been provided a different option when the vet closed on 180th street (they sent everyone's pet records to this vet). Unfortunately, it's the closest vet I could find. I have a couple of issues other than that they aren't too bad.First issue, the wait time is ridiculous! I have waited over 30 minutes. My dog is extremely anxious, barks and tries to run away. He is a medium/large size dog. It is essential that my dog be seen at the time of the appointment to not distress other pets, staff, and people. I have to wait outside just so I am not disrupting. This truly sucks in the winter. My second issue is when you let them know some meds are not working they do not do much to provide alternatives. I HIGHLY suggest looking up meds online before getting them here. Same as any doctor offering name brand instead of generic. EVERYONE should do this with doctors and vets. I had meds provided, the vet price was over $100, but online $20 generic brand. My third issue is when you call you can never reach anyone. One positive! The staff are very kind. Staff address questions and concerns in a way that is easy to understand.
